As usual Steve Davies makes most sense.

This thread also shows some of the nobheads on this forum.

Some people are cringe worthy but agree.

but the question is what would you want to happen...not whats the most likley. IF tan turned us to blue would you want him at the club (thats IF...not WILL)

If Tan turned us blue I would still want him gone. I will forever hate Tan for what he's turned our club into and I will never forgive him. Unfortunately, the majority of our fans have been "bought" by Tan funding new players, facilities, red stands etc, despite him continually lying to us and breaking promises. What "good" Tan does for our club is pointless when the identity of our club has been extinguished. Tan has got me seriously considering whether to go to home games anymore. Scarfgate gave me a feeling a million times lower than any humiliating defeat to Maidstone, Cambridge etc. Tan has put me through this and done this to me and I will forever despise him for it. I just want my club back and to be able to feel part of my club again, whatever the level.

scarfgate tells you everything you need to know about the fan base. over 90% of the fans were happy to take the red scarf and put it around their neck that night so no wonder tan quotes 90% are for the red but when relegation looms the majority of the people who took the red scarf now hold up their blue one in protest.
basically a stadium full of hypocrites if truth be known.

Steve, I couldn't agree more. The majority of our fan base are sheep. Initially, it was "cool" to love the red because we were top of the league, getting bankrolled to the Premiership. Then the following season when we sink into the relegation zone, it's suddenly "cool" to like blue. It's like the red went out of fashion and the blue has come back into fashion, so the sheep all decide to start wearing the blue again. I was hopeful everyone wearing the blue and holding up the blue scarf at 19:27 had woken up. But this poll suggests that isn't the case at all. :(

You're one of the reasons I'm considering giving up home games. I'm sick of people like you.

Those of us who care about our history and traditional colours are in a minority at the moment. The 25000 who have appeared during the last few years, and only watched us during the reasonably good times are not overly worried what colour we play in, or who owns the club. If we should ever be unfortunate enough to end back up struggling in the bottom division, I wouldn't mind betting that we will end up with around 3000 to 5000 loyal supporters, just like we did the last time we were down there. Most of those will be very pro blue, maybe all of them, because most supporters who wear red have only watched us during the good times and will be gone the minute we are struggling against the likes of Rochdale, Darlington, Hartlepool etc.

You'd have been better off accepting that you're riddled with bitterness because you think there's some sort of aesthetic which grants teams a right to win, you clown. Players not being good enough to put the ball in the net is the reason for relegation, Not Tan or "Malky" Mackay or the colour of shirts. Untwist your panties precious and chill.

This time next year Rodders.

Well to me and plenty others it is more than a colour. It is what we are and our identity. It is what everyone else sees us as.

The colour is our flag and when a dictator takes over a land what is the first thing he does....removes the flag.

When have I said it bothers me whether we win or lose? If I wanted to watch a team who kept winning, I wouldn't be a Cardiff fan. I'm a Cardiff fan because they're my local team, my dad took me to games from the age of 4, I was one of the Junior Bluebirds and I will always be a Bluebird. I fell in love with my local club and got a passionate, emotional connection to everything our club resembled back then, including our blue colours.

The colour and badge defines the identity of every football club but our dictator has wiped away our identity. Fans like yourself don't care about this and there's too many fans like yourself at home games now, who don't care about the tradition of Cardiff City Football Club.

I'm not enjoying the home game experience like I used to and I will probably just go to away games in the future, where the fan base is united as one wearing blue and singing for blue. It's only away games where I actually feel part of a fan base now. At home it doesn't feel I'm watching my team with my fans anymore. At scarfgate, I felt like an away fan in my own stadium, it's pathetic!

As far as I'm concerned there should have been only 2 options to choose from.

1. Tan out and hopefully a new owner restores our true identity.

2. Tan stays and I accept the rebrand is here to stay.

For me it's option 1 without a doubt.

It be interesting to see how people would have voted if these were the only 2 options.
