when did he ever put a proper cross into the box for someone to head it in. 99% of his crosses ended up in row z of the canton stand.
looked good going forward but no end product
Alas you're right Steve, but his primary job was to defend which he was good at, any as I mentioned in a squeeze he could cover anywhere along the back 4, he is quick going forward, obviously his distribution was a bit iffy but he could deffo do a job next season.
I prefer a defender who can defend and carry out his secondary duties as a good level, instead of being better at going forward while struggling defensively like Declan.
will always be a favourite of mine, i think he might have been DJs 1st signing..has been part of the better times at our club but the club has moved foward............he is never going to be a prem player and thats where this club now sees itself.......and Steve is right, for all that effort up and down the line there was so little end product..

Super Kev McNaughton a great servant to our Club and inspired one of THE great City songs I wish Kev all the very best and hope that we do have a recall clause so that if we do get injuries we might yet see him play once again in a City shirt.
We have to accept however that he is not getting any younger and if we do hopefully get promoted then he would probably not feature in the Premiership so this might be goodbye and if so thanks for some great memories Super Kev

Totally agree with you to many defenders about at the moment like David Luiz want to score goals rather than stop them. Disappointed kevs going but it does make sense.will go down in the history books as a cardiff legend even if he couldn't cross the ball.

the new contract is the main issue but to a potential rival is nuts. bolton are not a bad side. with a few additions could be a threat.

McNaughton loan to Bolton
Solskjaer revealed that Kevin McNaughton is set to sign for Bolton Wanderers on a season-long loan, while goalkeeper David Marshall was left out because of a minor muscle strain.
He also said Kagisho Dikgacoi and Juan Cala are not at the right fitness levels for matches, while Nicky Maynard was rested after two weeks of hard training.
Solskjaer also talked about his worries over Craig Noone, who has again suffered a groin strain.
"Kevin's move to Bolton might go through and it will be a season-long loan," he said. "He is at a stage of his career where he needs to be playing regular football and we have a lot of full-backs at the club.
