What about running a book?

I will bat £40 in us reaching 4th round. No matter who we play.

I have taken on board regarding your suggestion on the Announcements and Stickies and have already reduced some, there was so many on because there was so much trolling/sarcasm etc in certain topics by 8/9 posters, now thankfully those posters are no longer with us, football can resume

Annis, I'd be interested who the names of the 8/9 posters you've banned are & if any of them are jacks?

A seperate part of the forum for silly threads, jokes, complete random stuff etc.

Keep the main bit for just football.

Yeah, who was banned? I'd be interested to know too. Just being nosey like.

On another forum which I use, it is possible to hover the cursor over a thread topic and see the first line or two of the post in a pop-up. It's pretty useful for deciding whether or not to click through.

Right 2 Jacks were banned
7 so called Cardiff City fans, who 5 of them had at least 3 names each, no wonder they were wrecking the forum and talking to themselves
Plus Roathie who had 23 names including a few Cardiff names.

Weve worked hard

I dont want to start saying all the names as I will then be accused of slagging posters down who cant answer back, but you can guess who they are as the shit stirring has totally stopped

It should be fairly obvious by now that the forum admin team are trying to bring the forum back to its former glory, less infighting and abuse, and more topics relating to the playing squad and banter of a more friendly nature. Annis has added a couple of mods and brought back some 'old school' posters, notably 'Big Gwyn' and I hear that one of the forums favourite posters will be back very soon with a view to adding some decent content to this messageboard. He has cleared out a couple of users that made themselves unwelcome, I refer of course to the nuisance that was RoathMagic.

In other words the forum admin team is doing what it can to help improve the board from the back end, and they would be very interested to hear what you think they/we can do to improve things via this thread, the 'Forum Suggestion Box'

(Unfortunately this thread is going to have to be fairly heavily moderated, I dont want it to turn into a 'ban him' or 'lets abuse him for his ridiculous opinion' type of thread, those types of suggestions will be will be deleted fairly quickly by the Mods)

Can you try and ensure that where a poster puts up a heading and article claimed to be "news" he or she at least makes clear in the post where the original post came from - i.e. not just cut and paste an article from the media or someone else`s post without attributing the post to its originator rather than passing it off as their own (either deliberately or inadvertently)

Bring back Babes, Boobs and Bums

maybe a new system on banning. for instance giving you a proper reason for the ban. or maybe if a mod wants to ban someone it should be approved by 1 or 2 other mods as well? would get rid of the power hungry few on here who have used their powers against someone just for having an opinion

if i was saying what i was really thinking i'd say "all bans need to go through gav" but i doubt that has much legs

Would it be possible to have a beginners guide to posting. Even though I have posted a little I still have no idea what a "Sticky" is for example.
Simple dos and don'ts might help some of us of the older generation who started watching at Ninian in the fifties and are trying to get to grip with new technology.
Just a thought.

On a positive note I am delighted that we are starting to talk about the team again and not the endless frustration of the rebrand however painful.

wish this was the case fella but theres still a lot of people harping on about it, especially with the new seats going in

Some great replies and I hope to meet up with the Mods and Gavin in some of the first home games and try and put some of these suggestions in place, Cheers Gavin and all the replies .
