If Tan did not want to keep it to black shorts that were voted in last season then why not do this:
HOME KIT
red top
white shorts
blue socks
AWAY KIT
blue top
white shorts
red socks

Very Sunday League - nondescript is the word I think I'm looking for

Totally agree.
2Blue, do you think Vincent Tan is
trying to be controversial?? Is there anything for him to gain by media controversy? Most likely not, but, maybe there is? After all he must be far more famous in Britain, if not Europe for all this media attention. Even if it is negative. Can he use this to his advantage with other business ventures? Is he doing it on purpose?

Prefer the 'no collar' design of the red shirt but no way i will buy it.
Don't particularly like the blue. Looks cheap and nasty. Saved myself £40 this season.
Mon Jul 07, 2014 8:58 pm
It was a vote for black shorts to try and hide the montrosity of the two tone red kit, LAST season.
How is he anyway being controversial this season? It's just colour co-ordination lmao

Looks like a kit designed for a pub team to wear on Ely racecourse pitches on a Sunday morning.
Maybe the all red is designed to confuse the scouse plastics ?
Shocking .......

Just got back from Haverfordwest. City wore the blue kit tonight, and I must say, I like it. Obviously would be better with a more traditional badge, but at least the blue second kit is still with us.

The black shorts weren't voted for every season.
I can't believe people opted for black shorts though last season when our traditional colour was offered which was white, I was baffled.
I like the blue kit, really nice.
If people actually liked the black when one of our traditional colours was part of the vote which was white., ashamed.

How, in any way, is red and white our traditional colours?!

City didn't always play in white shorts when we wore blue.
Also, you're ashamed about people choosing black over white, yet happily admitted that you've worn and endorsed the rebrand before. Sheer hypocrisy.

I personally think both kits are very nice, the problem with the red one is that it's red, colour aside it's very nice, the blue is perfect aside from the badge and probably the best blue kit we've had in years. I'll be buying the blue one for sure

I wasn't about red, the white, it was there on offer yet fans opted for black, bonkers.
I have worn the red shirt yes, I accepted a gift off my brother for my birthday last year, what's wrong with that? I don't have to wear it down the city, can wear it in training for my team etc?

tbh, the design itself isnt bad...its not great but not bad and better than last season. We had worse shirts design-wise, but still absolute no go with the reversed colours and without a City badge on it, it's no Cardiff shirt anyways...

But most importantly, the home kit as a Cardiff City is disgusting purely because it's the wrong colour. I don't understand why some fans are upset about the shorts not being black though, who cares? Red or black, it's not Cardiff City.
Can't wait to buy the new blue kit.

couldnt agree with you more! the whole shorts thing was silly because it gave fans the illusion of choice, anyone who thought the fans were being listened to obviously didnt realise the shirt was still f*cking red.

its a football kit at the end of the day...looks alright to me
ive never bought or worn one in my life, the good thing about this whole Kit business is that they are being produced by a local company......
...i moved out of wales to look for work when the Pits were closing so to put something into the community for me is a
really positive thing.
i would prefer a blue home kit cause thats what i grew up with, but we are where we are in the life and times of a Cardiff City Fan.
Lifes to Short guys arguing about the Quality of a football shirt (small town mentality or what).

Would of liked the stripe down the side to be the same size on the shirt, shorts and socks and all run down together. Both look tidy, will have to pop in and see in the flesh before buying.

I just dont like the growing trend that there seems to be at the moment of teams ditching shirts/shorts/socks of different colours in favour of a strip of just one colour.
EG Spain - all red, Italy all blue, England all white, Germany all white, whereas all of these in the past would have different shorts. Even Brazil seem to have ditched blue shorts in favour of white. The same seems to be creeping into club football aswell.

I can't understand how anyone can say it looks cheap and nasty when you haven't even seen the material/shirt in the shop etc.... and we've had puma for a few seasons and I'm not being funny but last seasons shirt was awful!
You say about Adidas or a tidy make (I assume you mean Nike etc aswell) - there shirts are not much better if you look at them.....
If everyone was honest with themselves and we never had a rebrand and we still had our traditional badge and the club released the blue kit as our home kit etc - I don't think hardly anyone would complain.... the problem is, people want to moan because it's got the shity badge and its the away kit; not the home.... UNFORTUNATELY we are red for home and Mr Tan is not going to change that right now - we won't accept it but we have to live with it.... why constantly moan!! The blue shirt looks fine to me and I'll be buying one to go with my collection

Agree with hoochie and dinas,
why are people desperate for us to have an adidas kit? I think if it had a nike tick on those shirts people would be saying how nice the blue kit is.
we haven't seen the kit in person so have no idea about the quality. No idea why its got to have a name on there for it to be nice.
blue kit is nicest i think wr have had in years, like someone said i think a tighter sleave might have worked, but there are far more uglier shirts on sale, and its a local company meaning its supporting our local area
Wed Jul 09, 2014 11:38 pm
I would rather slam my chopper in the bathroom door than buy either kit. Just saying like
