OK why is Annis getting slagged off on here ? He is stating what has happened not his opinion. Carlos and myself both stated what was happening behind the scenes but we both got slagged off. But why are we all getting slagged off now we only stated the truth. Why Steve Davies are you saying Annis is everything anti Cardiff City when he was only saying the facts.

I agree the new staff look good on paper and have a good CV, if you pay enough money you will get the right people, but then it only works if Tan bothers to listen to them, thats the big question?

Jesus annis you need to get a grip your hatred of tan is driving you to distraction. As Wez said the new guy has a cracking cv and we both know simon lim wasent worth a cup of cold piss and you were blaming him for signing off malkys piss poor signings.

The thing I hate more than ever annis is the constant bickering between fans over tan, Malky colour etc. I also get sickened by the way the fans have behaved over the rebrand and in particular I was looking back at the Brighton red scarf game and I see the whole ground including the majority of your section decked out in red and now because the club were struggling and looking like getting relegated they are all holding blue scarfs aloft in protest.
I believe tan has realised his mistakes from last year and is putting the wheels in motion to reduce the debt as far as possible by putting a more professional team in place.
I believe and hope that he intends to get us straight back to the premiership at the first attempt so that we become a saleable football club to potential buyers.
I believe he won't consider himself to have succeeded until we are back in the premier and survive that first season. Only then will he realistically look at selling us.
Until that time the protests will continue close friends will continue to argue about the rebrand and I'm sick to death of it.
This board which was such a good football board has degenerated into what seems a one man crusade to drive tan out without the slightest clue of what would happen to the club if he left tomorrow.
He now has to be left to put right the mistakes he made last year but I don't believe reversing the rebrand will be considered by him.

Steve, but why are you not going next season or until Tan leaves?

Because I waited all my life and 47 seasons to see us at the top table annis and it was one of my worst seasons following city for many reasons.
This board doesn't help either   although my missus reckons come July I will crack and renew our seats.
I hope I do get the passion back but at the minute I believe there is no atmosphere and very little support for the team because of the rebrand fiasco and I don't enjoy going to the stadium. And let's face it annis season tickets down by ten thousand tells me I'm not on my own

My personal opinion, and I'm not aiming this at everyone not suggesting that Steve or anyone in particular is doing this.

This is the first season for 5 or 6 years where we know for absolute certain we will be playing in the champ next season. For the last five years there was always a chance we would be in the prem so lots of people renewed on the off chance as they knew they'd struggle to renew otherwise.

Well said Steve my sentiments exactly, I have been thinking of a way to reply to Annis's post without being too critical and hijacking this post to a argument to red or blue, hate Tan or Tan out, I do not know if Tan is going to run our club to please all the fans, but I do know one thing it is not in his nature to walk away from failure, and he will do what ever it takes to make it a success, I believe he knows he has made mistakes, and I also believe he will do his best to put them right, we may not agree with all his reasons or decisions but that's life, we can't always get what we want, maybe things will change in the near future, maybe it will have to be in the long term, Christ in all my years of watching the City I have seen some shit come out of the board room and on the pitch, both from managers and players.
Let's give the guy some slack and let him run the club in the correct financial manner, it can only work for the club in the end and for us if he is successful, so what's he done changed the colour of our club, it is still Cardiff City, we still sing and call them the Bluebirds, and please don't some of you say " but that's just only the start of it" because how do we know until it happens, we have had more broken promises from board chairmen then Tan has ever made, if and when he does turn debt to equity, which I believe he will have to do sooner or later because it is in not only his but our interests as well, the moaners will go back into the back ground, except for a few who will never let go, because they would never admit that he has out flanked them, believe me don't be surprised when he does, it'll take a period of time, but it will happen, because Tan won't except failure, it is not in his nature.

That sums it up pretty well. Tan admits to making mistakes but as you say failure is one thing he can not be acussed of.As for Lim Tan new exactly what he was doing, CEO in word only he was Tans eyes and years and in some respects it worked for Tan. Things have moved on and Dalman is heading a team with no shortage of corporate muscle. I have spoken to both and Tan a fair few times while staying in the Berjaya Eden Park. I suspect Choo has been brought in for the same reason he was required for the Eden Park. To increase the value Berjaya's portfolio in the UK. Tan has recently added H.R.Owens to his portfolio as well as substancial property in Bayswater.Tan doesnt walk away from failure he deals with it and perhaps one day it will be appreciated.
Its worth taking note of the last para in the press release. Words to the effect. The team comprising of the management committee are to function in assuring Cardifc City club moves forward with the best interests of Cardiff first and formost.
That to me suggest the the committee have been given a remit by the owner. I honestly think, depending on certain factors it could be a colourfull future.

Nukes I have never said annis is anti Cardiff
I was saying he is so anti tan that he could not see that lim being replaced was a good thing for the club. He might well be another tan puppet but better to have a puppet who at least has some credentials that are useful to the club than the one who left who had none.

Dalman is taking over the CEO duties for now, whatever that means, and given the past few years there has been a revolving door for whoever sat in the CEO chair. One question about Lim going is I suppose "did he jump or was he pushed" because we all know it was his signature of the transfer deals going through this time last year.

This Ken Choo is nothing more than a replacement for Julian Jenkins and replacing people who leave a business is just part and parcel of company life. And this guy does seem to have the type of CV which will mean he will be a success and that's good news. Surely.

As far as finance is concerned, this guy is a million miles more qualified than Jenkins(who you seem to have promoted) and no doubt Lim.
He seems to me to be effectively a finance director with possibly some bits added on.
A decent marketing appointment down there and we may be getting somewhere.

The answer is, Vincent Tan.

Nukes posts :thumbright:

Right regarding Steve's post any club who had the rebrand similar to ourselves would have the same reaction from there fans. We have been divided even turning into violence and that is down to one person Vincent Tan. The club has been raped of its historical identity and that isn't the fault of the fans, just one Mans ego. Yes I agree he gave us premiership football but hand on heart who cannot say watching us in red took the perverbial cherry off the top big time ?
But with Tan promising a rethink over colour some say say we should now show restraint, but personally I don't believe a word that comes out of his gob, but hey that is me.

Annis you can't accuse somebody of being poor and saying they needed to go, then put down the new guy despite saying he has a good c.v.

If Tan is looking for yes men to take the flack then he would have kept Lim at the club. You're trying to add a negative spin to something very positive and using this to further your agenda against Tan.

Very good move by Tan and the club on paper and more proof Tan is here to build something and stay - despite yours and others suggestions he is unhappy and wants out. I think that is what frustrates you most and tints your opinions.

Where have I put down the new guy please?

Haven't put him down as such but suggesting Tan won't listen to him is putting down the appointment which in truth looks like a very good one.

As I said if Tan wanted yes men around him he would have left Lim in his role and allowed him up continue to take some of the flack.

tan is clearly learning and is moving the club forward with these changes.

So I havent put him down

The prob is, Tan does surround himself with yes men, then either gets bored of them or eventually sees they are not good or helpful for his business.

So Ive said, I hope Tan finally listens to the new guy as he has a good CV :thumbright:

Does he really though? You were saying he was ready to leave a couple if days ago and since he has invested in another feeder club and done a back room shake up.

I think Tan does what he wants to do - as an owner will do, has his opinions and beliefs and that's it. If he feels people aren't up to the job, they go and he replaces them with people who seem to be better, on paper at least.

Well thats your opinion of Tan, mine is totally different, I have NO Respect what so ever for him.

No doubt the Tan lovers will say its all for the good of Cardiff City, which is what they say whatever Tan does.

You moan about the debt and here is a man who is obviously going to make sure that last summers shenanigans don't happen again.
I see nothing but good in lim going from the club.

Steve and because of Tan, youve given up supporting Cardiff City, True or not?

I agree Lim was pathetic, but this was last year when we all saw that staring us in the face.

Ive just said, his CV is good, but will Tan listen and u even say Steve, Tan listens to no one?

All these reasons is because of ONE MAN - VINCENT TAN! He could have been a legend but instead he should not have changed the colour. If he kept us blue, the support and atmosphere would have been much better! And the fans are would not have been divided.

From what I understand Tan was advised about turning red from someone external to the club and this was later reinforced by someone internal who has now swiftly departed for Switzerland. It was also their idea for scarfgate and have used other situations in the club to their own ends
