Every club outside the top 4 should be in for Mutch if we're willing to sell him for only 1.5 million!

Carl he certainly did

Very worrying though.

Don't know what's going on here but certainly don't believe Tan is that daft - he wants to make money.

Lets be honest, no matter what now Tan will never make money out of City, he is in for £150mill and he will never get all that back.

So what you think he's just throwing even more money away?

I honestly dont know, do you? but so far he has been like a madman whilst being involved with City, nothing surprises me regarding Tan.

It makes no sense. Why would Tan want to make a loss? He wouldn't. It's a non question.

There must be some sort of clause in his contract. Maybe a higher division club when he first signed and not a relegation clause I don't know.

Would be very, very surprised if Tan was just accepting bids at a loss.

Is it? Since Tan got more involved we got rid of Cornelius who was a complete joke given the wages and transfer fee.

Brought in Dæhli probably the most exciting player at the club since Ramsey left. Eikrem, Berget, Le Fondre, Guerra, Fabio and Macheda all for under £3million. Got Burgstaller too.

Frankly it's his money so if he wants a more active roll he's entitles but his business so far has seen some good players come in at decent prices.

As for Mutch, it's unlikely the club are going to let him go cheap unless it enforced rough contract or because he only has a year left it's not like you can blame Tan (as much as everyone seems to love doing that) for that.

It'd be a pity to see Mitch go, he'd be stellar next year, but he wasn't that good with us. Cardiff fans seem to get carried away if someone has like three good games and think all our players are worldies. When really he's an above average player on a dire team. To lose Marshall, Caulker, Medel, Mutch and Campbell (Dæhli and Noone aside our best five players) would suck, and not really represent the Club doing it's damnedest to get back into the Prem.

Mutch to Sunderland was made up by a Sunderland fan on their board he admitted he was bored and made it up.
I would wait and see if there is mutch to this or if it's just a made up rumour gone mad. :laughing6:

In a market where Ledley goes for 850k 1.5 million is brilliant for Mutch. Pity we didn't snap up Ledley.

Hes only got 1 year left on his contract. Why is everyone ignoring that fact?

Take the money now if he said he wants to go, better that than have an unhappy player who would go for free in 12 months

Sunderland close to signing Cardiff midfielder
BY GAVIN MACDONALD ⋅ MONDAY JUNE 2, 2014 ⋅
CARDIFF CITY, JORDON MUTCH, SUNDERLAND

Premier League side Sunderland are close to signing Cardiff City midfielder Jordon Mutch according to the Daily Mail.

The 22-year old midfielder has been an integral member of the club setup under current manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and was able to amass 37 appearances and was able to score seven goals.

Jordon Mutch is poised to join Sunderland

In his debut season in the Premier League he shone and was able to label himself as a top quality midfielder but he was unable to keep his club from the drop.

Following his superb season he has attracted the interest of many Premier League clubs.

However, it has been reported by the Daily Mail that both club’s have agreed a £1.5 million fee.

If this is the case then Sunderland are free to discuss personal terms with the play and his agent and he will most

stupid price for him no wonder this club is in such a mess

I'm not surprised at this deal for a number of reasons like the player being in the final year of his contract and I believe he is one of a number of players earning "High" wages and need to be moved on so OGS can introduced a more level and realistic wage structure.

With Bellamy, Medel, Caulker, Mutch, Campbell, Kim, Velikonja, Maynard, Mason and even Tommy Smith removed the annual wage bill will be massively reduced also the combined fees for these players, even with the freebies, this will help the club balance the books for next season. Like most of these players Jordan Mutch did his best for the club and I wish him well for his future as I will with the other players who WILL leave in the coming weeks.

Given concerns about the level of debt at the club shouldn't we accept any move to bring costs to a realistic efforts.

Check out his realise clause in his contract might give you some clue why he will be sold for well under his value

The usual nonsense written on this thread.

"All clubs outside top 4 should be after him"

"15 million"

Mutch is a bottle job, massively overated and won the hide & seek champion at this years player of the year awards.

He made it clear from February onwards he didnt want to be here so f**k him get rid.

Ridiculous, why would he sanction a similar transfer deal for Le Fondre?

Mutch going for 1.5 million IF that happens is poor business BUT the squad needs an overhaul and OGS and VT realise that. Mutch produced some of our most memorable moments last season but that really doesn't say too much. If he goes then so be it, we have plenty of options in his position anyway and no doubt we'll have someone else lined up.

I guess, in truth, Mutch didn't exactly impress me in our last season in the championship so maybe this move isn't such a bad thing for us.

That's a piss take, Didn't Ole say he was a major part of the 1st team? If that's the case it would be worth keeping him for one season and letting him go for free then at the end of the season.
