i wouldnt be shocked if he gets the Norwich job....and no doubt Norwich feared appointing a manager that might turn out to be proved to have done wrong..............but if i was Malky and knew i had done no wrong id want my integrity, plus Moody..who is employed gave much the same grovelling statement..

I'm not saying MM was perfect but the club has negotiated a "Settlement Agreement" with both MM and IM and as the terms will be covered by a confidentiality clause we will never get to know the full details.

But I would bet my bottom dollar that both MM & IM have, as a minimum, been paid thier contractual notice periods plus an "Ex Gratia" payment to make this stuff go away.

Ive been involved in numerous settlement agreement through my work and they can contain anything as long as both sides agree. Money isnt an issue.

Im saying it doesnt have to. Settlement agreements are legally binding but entered voluntarily. If either side doesnt agree with any term proposed by the other then the SA doesnt go ahead and normal ET procedures take place.

That's it exactly Craig there has to be agreement by both parties for an agreement to be reached and therefore it follows that both parties accept the terms of the agreement which when signed by ALL parties becomes legally binding.

It's all about opinions and mine is that MM has had to give something in order to get a financial settlement and that has been to include in his statement thanks to VT for his financial support in getting to the PL. No surprise there as we ALL know without that money we would not have got promoted but in terms of any apology ALL he has said is that "If" he caused any offence during time at the club. That is a very very long way from saying that he did cause offence, a very long way indeed.

Ask yourself why the club would have to agree to MM deciding to withdraw all his claims against the club. Surely if he decided to do this then the club would have just said good we can move on now. But they haven't and the club hasn't said that it hasn't reached agreement with MM to settle the dispute.

Trust me MM has received a payment and that may only be for his notice period and that should not be confused with compensation. They are two very seperate things.

Two issues for me

1- Dodgy doesn't have to illegal- Contractually entitled "commissions" signed off by a poor CFO may not be illegal but if some of the cuts talked about loosely on here were true on a player who was so lamentable then it would destroy all the good will Malky has acquired over the last three years both with our fans and the media (who he played both to a tee)

2- He could have walked away and said he was fed up with the crap and for the benefit of the fans who I love, i wanted to end this saga in such a bad season for them. This would have gave him even more kudos with the fans above.

Based on the facts that malky was taking Tan to court..... It was Malky who was the plaintiff, he could have stopped it anytime, without an apology. It is the apology which is damming.....and bloody confusing.

I also have never seen this before, but we are Cardiff City Fruit Case !!!!!

Hopefully this is stage 1 of a multi staged plan to sort out our mess

there was some talk of a counter claim,not sure how far that went........but the settlement is legal and stops both parties persuing each other over this matter once and for all.......

I'm pretty sure thats whats happening but there are too many here preoccupied with the Malky/Tan saga. Maybe they need to get their heads out of their asses to see what's going on in the real world.

A settlement for no money + groveling apology makes me think Tan had a very strong case, but chose not to pursue. If MM was in the right and just wanted to be done with it he just could've dropped the case without the apology.

Do you not realise that 95% of what is in the press is inaccurate and the other 5% is made up.

Who says that Malky has given in. Maybe it's Tan that actually conceded defeat to save face. Do you think Tan would have wanted to go to court and lose. Malky had a strong case. He was sacked in the middle of a contract which was legally binding.

Don't you think it strange that Malky is apologising for no apparent reason after the way he was treated by Tan. Why - because he's got his pay off. Think about it!

What I am saying is that there must be reasons that we can only guess about as to why he has done this. He is the bookies favourite to take over at Norwich. Has he been offered the job and is this on condition that he smooths things over with Tan.

I don't see Malky as losing any self-respect here. Tan is not normal and is most certainly a pasty-short-of-a-picnic sort of person. You can't reason with the guy. I think Malky has taken the only viable option to stop this dragging on.
