A forum for all things Cardiff City

Thing is he come in at a shit time, football going bad, supporters upset at the rebrand. I honestly think he tried to get us playing better football and scoring which at times, you must admit we did play some good footy.
But then, hes also made some odd selections.
I think he should stay, now he has a whole preseason to judge his team, work out some formations and start drilling the team into his style of play.
Watching on MOTD City do look crap at times, but like Tottenham vs Cardiff i went to, Cardiff did a real good job at stopping Spurs play and i was impressed, yea gutted we lost. We did lack a cutting edge up front and we hit the bar but still, shows he must know something about formations

Well said. He has got it pretty much spot on.
Every match there was one unexpected selection. Picking Cowie at Sunderland was ludicrous. Gunnarrsson at Newcastle equally so especially then to play him in an advanced role leaving Mutch impotent.
The January signings were terrible. Cala is as bad a defender as seen down the City ever. Fabio is hopeless defending. Eikrem, Beget & Dahli were just inappropriate. jones could have worked but he was just not motivated.
City scored the same number of goals as palace. incredible fact really; but City's gd was hideous due to inept defensive play.
I'd have Solskjaer out after sunday. No reason to keep him; we know he'll be likely as useless next season as this - he just does not give any sense of confidence or optimism. There must be a clause in his contract allowing City to fire without punity if he failed to keep the club up.
Sign someone with experience, drive and knowledge of the Football league and its players. Who? Not for me to pick but someone like Steve Clarke who is out of work and has undoubted qualities stands out for me as does Hughton.

one thing which made my blood boil would be after a loss he seemed to have a smile or a grin at some point in the interview and then would saying " no next week is now a must no lose game" ....... and this repeated itself every game we lost.

That article is spot on in my view.
How anyone can hold up the view that because we created more chances than newcastle in some way we deserved to win the game. We lost 3-0 against the team with the worst record since xmas.............yes, even worse than ours.
It seems he will be given time and I hope he can prove me wrong as I have nothing against the bloke, I just don't think he's cut out for it thats all and before anyone says different, his record does not suggest he is.
OGS was a legend at Man U so the kids were in awe of him, he's praticularly the kind of norway and everyone will look up to him.
He hasn't got that type of kudos in the area in which he now works and has to earn his respect from the players as much as they do from him.
