Wrong again as people from the Merthyr trust give advice to them to set-up the Cardiff trust as it was formed later on.

Jinks your informer isn't really good at all!!! Lol

Didn't corky attend a meeting to offer advice and wasn't welcomed? i'm sure i saw that on a forum and was not told by anyone..

Yes he did attend meetings but that was before Merthyr Town was ever formed and bearing in mind that their trust was formed and individuals within their trust offered advice on the set-up of CCSC then what advice could Corky have offered which they didn't know about so really what new could he had brought to the table..?

The bottom line was that they seen Corky there as just somebody else who wanted to help their local club just like the others who attended the meetings at the time.

I'm sorry to say Jinks but your information is very blankered

Wasn't a snipe or a dig its what i was told.

Jinks, they wanted us on board and we were made very welcome and still are

I personally though would not accept their terms.

To be fair, I would think a club like Merthyr would have to pay decent wages to get players like Gavin Williams to join them. I doubt Merthyr could survive paying that sort of wage to several of their players mind!

Maybe he means merthyr themselves dont pay anywhere near half that. Those are paid by sponsorship if what is said on there is true. Mad if it is

I work with a Merthyr player, Matthew Harris and hes on 60 a week.

700 quid a week ffs

I know Ryan Prosser quite well and Merthyr don't pay that sort of money out, if as you say Adam it is made up by sponsorship deal then that isn't Merthyr that are paying those wages that's the sponsor, I have been told top wages are more like £400-£450

Just passing on the info I'm getting. Some of them are on more than what they were when Merthyr Tydfil went bust and they were playing at a higher level

Great to see Cardiff City fans have a day out at Merthyr. Hope they enjoyed it despite the performance and the result. Most of the season home games have provided great entertainment and the right result. At the end of the season we finished second, our highest place since the club was reformed four years ago. It's a gradual progress.

Can assure people that the high level of wages quoted on these threads are way off the mark.
