i used to play in the same football team as Tonteg Bluebird, hes obviously a passionate fan, always was when we were younger when only a few of us were Cardiff fans, and id say he does know his stuff when it comes to football, there aren't really a wealth of people on here who like to actually talk about football/tactics etc so I welcome that.

However all this Malky stuff is really really grating on me, he just cant seem to let the thing go

I think it's more of the case that others can't seem to let the Malky thing go. Whenever I do a post criticising our current performances, I get the same response from the usual culprits. If I do a post about a player Malky brought in, whether that's Mutch, Medel, Campbell etc, I get "I bet you're only defending them because they're Malky signings", then when I do a post criticising Jones' or Zaha's lack of effort, I get "I bet you're only criticising them because they're Ole signings". Llandaffbluebird did a post stating that he bet I wouldn't criticise Odemwingie as he was a Malky signing, but slate Jones as he's an Ole signing actually, despite my post history slating the lack of effort from Odemwingie and Cornelius in the past. I find it all quite pathetic but also quite humorous to be honest. I've had a good laugh at several of them.

First and last post of the day for me. All I want I say is malky was totally clueless, he couldn't find a good player in a brazil v Spain warm up match, night all.

I'll concede that Jones made a few good signings, but in the last couple of seasons with Cardiff, he brought swathes of average players in on loan - Emmanuel-Thomas, Drinkwater, Bywater, Jlloyd Samuel, Kelvin Etuhu, Andy Keogh etc - we ended up with a team full of individuals who nearly always lost if we went a goal down; no spirit or backbone.

I agree with you in wanting long term stability over short term success - what fan wouldn't - and any other manager with a good long term philosophy given time would be welcome, but to have DJ back would be a MASSIVE backwards step. He had 6 years with us and we failed at the final hurdle many times. When fans say they'd welcome him back, to me that just says they'd be happy with another ten years of 'just doing alright' - mediocrity and under achievement, with a few away days to places like Barnsley; a mentality I cannot understand.
