I would rather Caulker to Hudson,let's be honest Hudson is a donkey! But the point is you would probably need Hudson next season as the Championship is Mark Hudson playing level.

Hudson and Turner were great as a unit. Barnett and Turner were great as a unit. Defence is all about understanding and not the individuals that make the central pairing up. Caulker may be better individually but his ability to develop an understanding is much worse. He hasn't formed one clearly and it shows big time. He is the problem. Turner formed one fine with Hudson and Barnett. Caulker will do well at another team where he is carried but he's no leader. Hudson is and thats why I'd prefer him every day.

Hudson and Cala would be a good partnership for the championship, we have a championship side at the moment. Not good enough for the prem.
