Re: So Tan was right?

So if you aren't trying to disrupt the notion of red in order to turn back to blue - how are you actively trying to prevent or change it?

If everyone realises wearing the away colours wont make a jot of difference to tan then you are indeed not opposing it. It is a token gesture not an opposition.

There was an actual opposition organised today, yet only 10% - 15% felt it important enough to actively participate to oppose it. The rest were happy enough not to.... And that is what Tan wants and thinks.

He was proven correct. If only 10% are that bothered to march against it then why does he care what the 10% do? He has said that on more than one occasion.

You had a chance to show him that he was wrong and indeed the overwhelming majority oppose him and his rebrand.... But it didnt happen. In fact, he was proven right.

I oppose it by not accepting it an carrying on as I was before the rebrand.

The March isn't any kind of barometer of feeling towards the rebrand, however the show of blue in the stadium today was and today it was 90% blue  The majority of supporters are not anti Tan but are anti Red, this feeling will now escalate

But you have accepted it :D

You are confusing not liking something with opposing it. If I was against animal cruelty but continued to go to bear baiting shows but said "oooh i dont like that" while on the internet afterwards yet continuing to go back every week and not bothering going on demonstrations a mere hundred yards away - im not opposing it.

What a daft example  Most people feel strongly and are opposed to animal cruelty, yet are happy to continue eating meat from animals that are kept and transported in horrible conditions, they choose to accept the downside of animal welfare, for their own pleasure of eating cheap meat. The same can be said of us supporters, we have accepted the distasteful rebrand for the pleasure of having a successful and financially stable club to support.

But wearing blue isnt an opposition in itself is it, it is still the clubs away colours and as a result the blue shirt is still sold in the club shop. So wearing it isnt an opposition.

What you can be sure of is the people on the march were indeed opposing it, and that only counted 10% of the match day home crowd.

If the feeling escalates then excellent - but as it stands Tan will be happy that only 10% actively opposed it.

And there is the most important statement.

The majority have accepted the red for the pleasure of watching Prem football. The debt has tripled.

That isnt opposition, that is reluctant acceptance.

You really are an absolute ****.

Your bitterness shines through in every thread and you type utter nonsense.

Today's protest was not just a march or demonstration in front of gates. It was a wear blue day and virtually everyone in ground wore blue. The only person in a red top that I saw was the Malaysian dictator. I would say that over 4000 turned up for the march which is just under 20% of the gate. At least 90% wore blue or had a blue scarf.

Best part of game was when we went 2-1 up the crowd were singing are you watching Vincent tan. Tan then stormed off for a short time and was clearly irritated.

Anyway can't see why you keep posting on here when you are such a successful jet setting international playboy businessman.

Could any pro-Tan / rebrand types organise a march in favour of the club as it now is? I talk football with many fans of many different clubs and have yet to meet anyone who thought the change from blue to red was a good thing to do. Cardiff City existed before Tan and will continue to exist after he has gone. Disrespecting the history was unethical.

as a Manchester city fan you should be the last to preach anything..your club along with Chelsea have driven up transfer fees and wages ridiculously which of course then filters down through football and makes the Vincent Tans of the world seem a necessary evil. tell you what, tell those arabs to f**k off, start running your club on tv money and gate receipts only. and then come back......just feel lucky that the guy you have didnt have a colour fetish..

You're such a friendly bunch on here. My own club being rebranded by an egotistical megalomaniac would be devastating and you've no idea how glad I am that Thaksin Shinawatra has been booted out. It's believed he wanted to add an elephant to the club crest. Need I remind you we were playing in the third tier around 15 years ago?

Could you look anyone in the eye and admit you wouldn't want a Sheikh Mansour style figure to add your club to his business portfolio? You're already owned by a billionaire! He's been a model owner in many ways. He's not hands on and leaves football men to run it for him. City are developing a Youth Academy on site which is regenerating a deprived area of Manchester and bringing work in. The aim is for the club to become self-sustainable in the future which means the original spending is over.

A handful of clubs have won promotion to the Premier League and survived with affordable spending, good football and a strong retain of the club methods. There's no reason why Cardiff couldn't have done the same and the schism the Tan era has caused is counterproductive. He's turned the club in to a joke and, as a fan of football, I think he needs to piss off.

What do you expect when you come on here trying to preach to the fans, when it is pure hypocrisy... :sleepy2:

Trying to tell us how OGS isn't the right manager, thinking you know better.

It isn't hypocrisy in the slightest. I care deeply about football and acknowledge how fortunate we are that our billionaire is a bit more relaxed than your billionaire. Besides, we're talking about the march against the rebrand here and not your manager.

You've misunderstood my motives, Barry. I find it hard to believe that you don't want to discuss your club with a fan of another. My Brother-in-Law and Nephew are both season ticket holders at Cardiff and we're always having a banter.

I like the fact I was feeding the muppet a few words an he was banging on with big paragraphs telling me how to think

I don't know how anybody could get wound up by him.

I didn't even read half of what he said.

Oh no not name calling? :D

I was under the impression most wore blue anyway? It has been your colours for decades, not everyone buys the new strip so many continue to wear what they have - which is naturally going to be blue. It isnt a protest.

3500-4000 according to the police that told annis. Thats 12.5%-15%.

And international jetsetting play boy businessmen like to talk football too
