Your on a Cardiff message board and you call us one-eyed?? Dickead lol

You are one eyed. "Would never go to a game while Williams is captain" "Would never go to a game while Coleman is manager" do you go to Cardiff games while Tan is owner?

Since when have you jacks turned up to support your country lol? No point winning about it on a Cardiff messageboard. If your that concerned, then you should have made the trip tonight and supported Coleman and your country... Or is it because the game was played in Cardiff? At the end of the day, if people don't like Coleman, and don't agree with Williams being captain, it doesn't mean they don't support there country.

I don't care that the game was played in Cardiff. I don't go to friendlies as I prioritise where I spend my money and would prefer to watch Swansea home and away rather than watch meaningless friendlies which degenerate into a stop-start debacle because of the number of substitutions. So people don't like Williams being captain because he was born outside Wales! So what! He plays for wales because the rules say he can. That's exactly my point. What about all the other non-Welsh players? Why no mention of those? Vokes, Ricketts, Robson-Kanu etc etc. Let's get rid of all those as well, then. Great team we'd have then!

The friendly tonight wasn't meaningless. Its all about building for the qualifiers. Tonight we had a glimpse of what a strong welsh team is capable of. Wouldn't it be nice if we all put our club rivalries aside for internationals and got behind our country. One can only hope.

It's nice to see the odd sensible comment on this thread. Not everyone is childish and biased in regards to Coleman/Ash.

We played well tonight and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the game. We look to have some real strength in depth in midfield and on paper we should have a good defence. We had no Rambo or Ledley tonight, yet we still had J Williams coming off the bench who is a class act. I thought Robson-Kanu had a decent game and Huws slotted in nicely and didn't look out of place at all.

Iceland are no mugs either, this was a very good win and good performance.

Ash does the cross field ball all the time for Swans, always looking to hit Dyer or Routledge or Bony. Bale was thriving off it tonight as he hit him a fair few times. It's becoming a trade mark of Ash's, he doesn't just score own-goals ;) Besides, Collins has the worst record for Wales blunders. He did ok tonight though.

This obsession with trying to make Swans fans out to be some sort of EDL fan-boys or non-Wales supporters is getting very tiresome. It's actually a little bit embarrassing to still see you clinging on to it.

Swans fans follow Wales. The majority of us are Welsh. Get over it.

Absolutely pathetic. The quicker this sort of mentality is eradicated, the better. We'll actually get decent crowds then.

I'm glad you said a lot and not all (or the majority) - having said that I'm fairly confident the post was intended as a wind up.

Nice evening out with the kids, nice for them to see Bale, felt like when Bellamy first came to the CCS everytime he gets the ball you hold your breath and wait for something special.

Not sure what the point of your post is, but I don't have a problem with Jacks following Wales. But why bring a Union Jack flag to a Wales game? Just take a Welsh flag

Ask him I would suggest. How many flags did you see? One?

The chances he posts here are slim.

its like saying "I found out a Swans fan wore pink timberland boots" and then making out it is a Swansea thing and asking Swansea fans why we do it :D

Very odd indeed.

The point of my post is that I don't believe someone took a Union Jack to a Wales game. I think it's another way of slagging off Swansea fans. How do you know he was a Jack? Was it written on the Union Jack?

Of all the insults ive seen thrown at our great captain by Cardiff fans, that one has to be by far the most incredible

Re: Wales v Iceland

Williams was superb tonight. Despite playing three games, travelling from napoli, suffering from illness all in 6 days. Remember Cardiff born ryan giggs record in friendlies?

Thought it was a good performance tonight the best for a while. Just wish we had a better centre forward to lead the line no disrespect to vokes who's a trier. The young boy Hughes played well in a position that's up for grabs.

Re: Wales v Iceland

When it comes to Wales, team rivalries should have no place whatsoever.

We are a tiny country and should support the players no matter who they play for.

Frankly it's good for Welsh football that we have two teams in the too tier...we will reap the rewards of this nationally.

Re: Wales v Iceland

Fairplay some people love a moan, If williams didn't play who the f**k else would, ricketts? f*cking no chance!
IMO williams gives his all for Wales people need to leave the swansea thing go and just support the team FFS,
Great win i thought colemans tactics were spot on and the lads were well up for it, Iceland were quite dirty IMO loved a foul!
Bale was magnificent like always, And was really impressed with emyr huws on his debut!

At Least 1 of the teams i support are doing well anyway.

Re: Wales v Iceland

Thu Mar 06, 2014 6:33 am

The fact some of ours fans and swanseas refuse to cheer on certain players is holding us back.

So stupid and childish.

Good post.

And to the idiot calling all the Jacks wimps…grow up. This is exactly what I mean.

Re: Wales v Iceland

The club rivalry thing at wales games really should be put to bed it affects our crowds and atmosphere for certain. Once those players put on the welsh jersey that's it. It's only natural to be pleased if one of your own are playing well but a jack player shouldn't be tarnished because they play for Swansea or any of the other welsh teams. I don't agree with Williams being captain but that's more to do with the fact he wasn't born in wales rather than who he plays for. If Ben Davies who I think looks a really good player becomes a captain in the future I would have no problem. Williams played better last night considering his illness than he has in a welsh jersey for a while. It might have a little bit to do with Collins who is playing well at the moment and takes a bit of the burden off him as well.
A good result and many positives to be taken into the qualifiers :)

You are right Wales are playing to the rules by selecting players with the grandparents rule and are no different to lots of countries with more choice. I don't think it should go back that far that's all. With Williams being captain my issues are he meets the minimum requirement qualification as in the grandparent rule. As a captain he has extra duties as in dealing with media and when this is done on radio it doesn't sound right when he has a slight Midlands accent. As sad as it is I don't think the captain should come from the 2 south Wales club's. It just seems to cause to much resentment with the a large percentage of the Wales fan base. The captain should be picked on whoever is best suitable for the role. However the last 3 captains have caused a stir which you don't get in other countries. A large proportion of your support weren't happy when Bellamy was captain or Ramsey so it's not just a Cardiff problem.

I never had a problem with Bellend as captain. Exactly what you want from a captain - in the refs ear all the time, motivating the other players etc. Ramsey will never be captain material as long as he's got a hole in his ass! Never motivated players, silent and anonymous! Williams is the current obvious choice as captain. I don't quite understand the "accent" comment. If you qualify to play for your country what difference does your accent make? There will always be morons from Cardiff and Swansea who won't accept this or that from their rivals clubs. Just hope that Wales get to qualify for the 2016 Euros.
