Football has moved on as you say. We are talking about the here and now. Sanctions have been put into place to curb this, clubs have gone bust and penalties brought in for those that fail to comply. If lessons are to be learned they were then.
As a result we are well run. You in the other hand seem to go from bad to worse. That £50m splurge on players was ridiculous, as is the extension probably. You arent in a position to be able to do this, and this is why you are taken advantage of, time and time again.
If some billionaire foreigner came in wanting to buy us we would chase him back to where he came from. The minute your chairman starts writing cheques the club cant afford is the minute you do everything you can to oust him..... Yet instead you ask for more.

Now thats for the management to sort out and put right.
After the west ham game ml fucked off to Paris and told the team to turn up for training tues when he got back.
Now we are a premier club in the thick of a relegation fight and just after a shocking display,
Ml is payed good wages to manage us abd to shoot off like that is unprofessional to say the least and think it was the funal straw.

Ml is a legend in the game and should have been respected better then that.
Yes I think it was time for a change, but it could and should have been done better then the way it was.

Mel Nurse who is now the major creditor has taken the first steps of putting the club into administration. This process will go before the courts on Nov 8th.
Mel with the help of mal burgess is seeking to secure the club via this way. Mel has taken over the liabilities of 9th floor paving the way for a successful outcome for the club.
The debt stands so far a 1.7million and feared more with a 300.000 preferential tax liability.
The outcome was a CVA agreed at a fix of 5%
Amounting to 340.000 in preferential Cr.

Mel Nurse purchased the debt off Ninth floor for a fraction of it's true value in order to try and force Tony Petty out of the club via the courts.
The court process failed and when Petty was eventually forced out, Mel Nurse still held the debt to the book value of the original Ninth Floor amount.
I believe Waddle is referring to the 1985 situation where Mel Nurse paid the taxman, not the 2002 Company Voluntary Agreement.

Paying the taxman had no bearing on the CVA as they didn't have a vote in the process. The taxman had to be paid in full, something which is no longer the case in such a situation.

In 1985 the taxman threatened the club with court proceedings for the debt. It was paid off on the hope of avoiding administration . However this proved impossible and Dougie Sharpe went through with a CVA process through the courts. My comments however are in relation to Waddles response that Mel Nurse did not apply for a CVA when he clearly did. I also referred to Jenkins knowledge of the pre determined motives in not paying of its debts.
Finally in relation to Rothies comments there certainly is a difference in affording what you borrow and not affording. Tan can afford the debt where Jenkins couldn't. The amount is not revelant affordability is. Swansea had no assets what's so ever.

You rack up debt after debt, taking loans out YOU KNOW you cant pay back and still continuing to borrow. You had winding up order after winding up order a years back with a debt of £45m hanging over you for crying out loud. You had no idea Tan was lining you up like a lamb to a wolf around the corner. You are now triple the amount in debt.
We stopped when we realised we were in trouble (950k wasnt it?) paid them what we could and started again with lesson learned i couldnt give a damn if its wearing thin, its wearing thin because its true - WE ARE a phenomenally well run club.
Just compare both our stints in the Prem. we spent £9m first year £13m second year and £20m with the increased income 3rd year while waiting until establishment and profits posted before expanding the stadium.
You came up with £100m of debt, spent £50m on players and thrown ridiculous wages around - decided to expand your stadium even though it now seems you are odds on for the drop.
Currently it is like Dawn French calling Lenny Henry "chubby" its unfathomable

Im afraid anyone who thinks its okay to spend what the club doesnt have because "tan can afford it" has an opinion of zero credence. Its like someone with a credit card thinking they are rich, you are culpable for any spending - not Tan.
I couldnt care less what your experience with Jenkins is. He runs our club superbly, thats all that matters to me and I trust him implicitly![]()
