According to reports in Italy, Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella has rejected a proposed move to the Bluebirds. That news comes following much internet chatter yesterday.

Quagliarella has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, Lazio and Trabzonspor, however, it is understood the forward wants to return to Sampdoria.

We are also hearing that Hamburg defensive midfield star Tomas Rincon was the subject of great interest from Cardiff but has decided to stay in the Bundesliga.

I don't even believe we were after a few of these players. Why would these players join us from Juve and Hamburg when we're rock bottom?

It takes a player with strong confidence in their abilities to join a club on the bottom.

You need them to think they can make a difference otherwise they may as well stay where they are living their comfort zone.

That would be a good loan signing as he will get goals. Off to Lazio at the end of the season though.

European update

BBC World service's Steve Crossman: "Serbian striker Filip Dordevic may be allowed to leave Nantes according to L'equipe. The French paper says that Cardiff City could also move for him.
"The French club have already signed former Swansea City forward Itay Shechter on loan from Hapoel Tel Aviv today and they might now be willing to listen to offers for their top scorer.
""May", "could" and "might" - words I hate writing on any other day, but it's 31 January

Sky Sports will drag this shite out all night. Roll on tomorrow when it will be over until August and we will know what we have at our disposal for the rest of the season.

McCormack is not the answer. seems always a fascination here with getting
old players back.

SSN says we have the joint highest signing so far with 7 with West Ham but we've spent only £3 mill, is that actually true anyone?
