Nothing's going to happen. They'll walk down Sloper Road, sing a few chants, watch the game and then go home.

Absolutely nothing to worry about, and if there are fans who start to cause trouble the police will be all over it.

Jon, you are right on that one

JB39 simply running around in circles trying to justify his pathetic attempt at being ITK about what actually happened yesterday, which I am very reliably informed (from someone who was right there) was 'handbags at six paces' in real terms  :ayatollah:

The Man City fans involved (if there actually were any) will probably have forgotten about it by now, so I doubt they'll come here in a year's time to get revenge.

Haha. Wait till we get to league two! That'll be us just stretching off before the main event, I'm not talking about the football. 2020, Cardiff back on top of the hooligan league. No top flight supporters in the way either.

Go on, ridicule me!

Re: To the idiots who performed yesterday

I was there and it was entirely avoidable, as usual - there were seats free near the front but the boys who were asked to move weren't told about them, and frankly didn't fancy going down there anyway.

Handbags, nothing else.

More pissed off with Silva's handball for the first goal than pissed blokes getting arsy with high viz boys. I thought the Fulham stewards were much better at dealing with it than this lot.

Chose to go in the lower tier and thought it might have had a longer roof, thus providing a better atmosphere for singing like Anfield - sadly forgot to factor in that it is a relatively new stadium so atmosphere wasn't the best.

Didn't like us being split over 2 levels - I thought it diluted our impact a bit.

As an aside there was a particularly silly woman on a horse impersonating a police officer in front of our coach getting really near where kids and women (and us fellas) were walking - got my goat that did, she was bang out of order and things nearly kicked off there as a few of us were telling her what for.

In other news, we gave them a game - one of their players cost the same as our entire team on that pitch, even factoring in Medel and Caulker. To think they had Aguero on the bench!

Nice touch from Campbell at the end - walked over and gave his shirt to a small girl :notworthy:

Most of our fan base is made up of day trippers now and not people who want to fight or want to be associated with that.

We're small fish in a big pond on and off the field these days and its time people realised that.

TOP POST...NOT THERE......HAVE NO IDEA HOW OR WHY IT STARTED..........BUT YOU GIVE EXPERT OPINION......

i think most of our fans who travel, have had enough of being man handled by jumped up failures in high viz jackets.........they are stwards not 1970s bouncers.......if they want to behave like the later, expect to be treated that way 2 from time to time..

Well mate, I apologise to those offended with my initial comments, over the top etc. but nobody wants restrictions imposed etc and I think we can all agree on that. I think if Man City fans did anything then it should always be reported otherwise they'll go by the evidence and reviews and that doesn't look good for us.

Genuinely interested, as from what I saw (on video posted here and elsewhere) it didn't really expand as it once would have, in fairness to others who were in the immediate vicinity

Or have I missed something?? :? :ayatollah:

According to the Man City forums City fans dragging stewards back and laying into one of them - our fans on the forum being branded animalistic, scum, neanderthals stuck in the past etc. - obviously they saw what went on.

Others saying that Man City fans were being started on by groups of Cardiff fans after the game etc.

Quotes off their forums;

'As bad if not worse than Millwall . Still living in the 70s'

'scum .....only way to describe them.'

'Saw a showsec steward go flying down the steps then loads wading in. Cardiff fans are animals'

'Fighting with city fans at the end of the game as well!'

'no one wants to see what went on for a good 10 minutes in the early stages of the game'

Embarrassing.

lets be fare here these are not football fans, weed them out and ban them, they are not wanted here. No brains and Neanderthals, they will end up being banged up, if they want to fight join a boxing club,

I was one of the cardiff supporters that got jumped by around 20 man city fans at the home game. Lucky that it was me and my friends than the fathers and their children that where jumping off the bus behind us. So how you can call our fans scum at the away game to manchester city when its the stewards that are getting heavy handed. Trying to throw fans out when it is impossible to get to your correct seat so you stand wherever. Surely it was your generation that was fighting back in the day. So how can you judge when things get out of hand?

It's easy mate , as soon as someone puts their hands on you . You do what's necessary to get them off you , nobody has the right to put any hands on you. I would've done exactly the same as the other lads done , if the stewards are heavy handed then they get what's coming to them. :happy1: I await the PC brigade.

Comical "these are not fans, weed them out"

like it or not, some of our most fanatical fans have been involved in trouble in the past.

in fact, if it was not for some of these Fans who have had trouble in the past with away fans, then I can tell you that a lot of innocent fans who have never been involved, would have found themselves involved through no fault of their own.

Now my opinion is just that opinion, and I am not condoning either way trouble at football, just saying that some away fans dont care if your part of a group like minded or not.

I read the thread on bluemoon and I think their hatred of Cardiff is from the 1994 FA cup game. I was talking to a couple of them on Saturday and they said that game was one of the roughest they've been too.

1994 was a great game and great atmosphere. Plus agree with comments about OP. Very naïve post based on second hand info.
