The same lack of creativity and goal scoring threat coupled with the weak defence that won the Championship at a canter? :?

You're not really comparing the championship with the PL are you?

no striker can guarantee goals.
look at the striker Southampton got ahead of us wynama i think his name is or something like that,14 starts 0 goals.

Wanyama isn't a striker, he's a defensive midfielder.

You need your midfielders to be chipping in with goals, any midfielder worth his salt should score goals.Just my opinion.

We can't do it with the current squad. Jut not enough quality... We need to add to the squad. Eikrem looks like a decent player, but the other lad we have brought in I'm sure will take time to make the first team.. He has already stated that he can't believe the difference in the training! This shows the difference in the level he has been currently playing at..

Having Bellamy back in the team will be a huge benefit, Jordan Mutch coming back from inj too. We still need a top striker and def another quality centre half.

No, but we had the same manager in the Championship and Premier League. Malky has gone from the manager who delivered what every City fan dreamed of in Premiership football, to the manager who is getting slated. All because in our first Premiership season, he set us up to be well organised and difficult to beat against superior opposition, which was good enough to keep us above the relegation zone until he got sacked. It's incredible!

Difficult to beat

Difficult to score more like.

I love this myth we were hard to break down under Malky this year. We conceded on average nearly 2 goals a game under him, and thats with Marshall pulling save after save off and being MOTM several times.

Add that to the fact we averaged just 2 goals every 3 games under him and its not difficult to work out where we were heading.

He took just 5 points from 24 available before he was sacked and we scored in just 3 of those 8 games.

The only thing "incredible" about us dropping into the bottom 3 is you people who dont think we were heading there under Malky.

Took a championship squad and mentality into the premier league, spent a kings ransom on transfers and wages, and still went into the premier league with a championship squad and mentality.

Now thats incredible.

Its difficult for anyone to argue against the facts Mario, but your absolutely right about MM.

Both Hull & Palace have Premiership experienced managers, we now have to play catch up & plan with basically what we've got, or rather what OGS has inherited.

This has been Copy & Pasted from my post on another thread but i think it is relevent for this topic:

Not usually a pessimist but i will be very suprised if we dont go down this season.

We need to finish on 40 points to almost guarentee us not going down.. where are we going to get those points from?

These are our fixtures for the rest of the season, our results will probably look somthing like this:

Man City v Cardiff - 0 Points
Man Utd v Cardiff - 0 Points
Cardiff v Norwich - 3 Points
Swansea v Cardiff - 0 Points
Cardiff v Aston Villa- 1 Point
Cardiff V Hull City - 1 Point
Tottenham v Cardiff - 0 Points
Cardiff V Fullham - 3 Points
Everton v Cardiff - 0 Points
Cardiff v Liverpool - 0 Points
West Brom - Cardiff - 1 Point
Cardiff v Crystal Palace - 3 Points
Southhampton v Cardiff - 0 Points
Cardiff v Stoke - 1 Point
Sunderland v Cardiff - 1 Point
Newcastle v Cardiff - 0 Points
Cardiff v Chelsea - 0 Points

Some of you might not agree with all the scorelines i have chosen but realistically we are going to finish the season with roughly 31 points.

We are going to have to cause some HUGE upsets to even stand a chance of staying up - thats the reality of our situation and its why we are 2nd favorites to go down
