Annis, look at the table at the end of day one. Cardiff were second bottom, below Arsenal and above Swansea.

Pedantic yes, but the fact is Cardiff have been bottom 3. :)

But anyway, absolutely no need for panicking. Only six points separate the entire bottom half of the table, so there's PLENTY of football yet. Cardiff were absolutely dreadful in front of goal today, but I thought they were ok everywhere else. Someone to put a killer ball into the box with someone on the end to finish it is all that's stopping Cardiff from climbing the table IMO. If OGS can sort that out before the window closes then I'm still convinced they'll be safe.

They couldn't score in a brothel right now, so it's vital to sort that out...

Your right Ole has time

We battered them 2nd half just couldnt get the goal.

1st hapf we were poor.

We did control, the second half, but never battered them, how many good saves did their keeper make?

We battered them we forced them back all 2nd half the fact they resorted to fouling, time wasting, and we should have had 2 penalties says it all.

We opened them up countless times but finishing was shit.

Ole needs a striker because the ones Malky signed are not up to it.

If you cant see that then you know nothing about football. Spent too much time watching us in the dungeon.

funny trevor francis insisted it was a goal even after seeing replay! but unfortunately it was angle off the bar that prevented it from being over line. glad techno worked anyway

Classic City it was today - allow a shite team to come here and steal a result. The only positives today for me, were these:

1. Eikrem looked like a good footballer, and I'd be interested to see him in the centre with Mutch, and Medel just behind him.

2. Bellamy was back and gave us some positivity, plus his set piece delivery was better than Whitts' has been lately.

3. Finally, Ole showed he'll throw everything into attacking when we're down, rather than close down and try to keep the scoreline the same/pinch one later on.

Otherwise, there was the same old frustration of getting forward plenty of times, but not being able to create decent, clear cut chances. Odemwingie frustrated me with his selfish runs when he'd have been better off passing - by the time he ran himself into nowhere, it was too late to pass it and we lost the ball too often.

I've defended Cornelius and still do to a point but his confidence is low and he could do with some loan time elsewhere or at least a run in the team to build himself up - so frustrating to watch him unable to control the ball or trip over his feet - reminds me of myself when I play football! I think his price tag is hanging over his head somewhat, like it did with Carroll at Liverpool.

I like KTC but he's error prone too - good that he goes forward but he lost concentration and positioning for the first goal and paid for it. Might be worth giving Super Kev another game or two with Noone or Bellers in front of him, so he doesn't have to worry about belting forward so much.

My team for the next game would be:

Marshall

Super Kev
Caulker
Hudson
John

Medel

Bellers
Mutch
Eikrem
Noone

Campbell

Personally I believe you can only Judge a manager after 12 games.

But just going on todays performance that was awful,Only one proper save West Ham had to make,We passed really well, but mostly in our own area.
I believe it was a goal by us and the ball did go over the line.

Noone ran his socks of today, Kim Bo looked tired and weak on the ball, Campbell did his best, but we never created enough chances and when we did Whittingham and Co's shots were very poor. Cornelius, not getting any better. I could go through most of the team and personally I thought other than their passing in our half of the pitch, they looked like a relegation team.
Looked like no plan B, but its early days.

For me this match, was a must win game.

With the Manchester games coming up next then the Jacks, were in for a tough couple of months ahead, today we needed to win against a dreadful West Ham Side who played 20 mins with 10 men, cant score goals and beat us 2 nil in our own back yard.

I left that ground like many others so down and fed up, now knowing we are for the first time ever in the Bottom 3 of the Premier League.

We need strengthening now and upfront.

Atmosphere awful.

Great to see so many Fans in BLUE  :ayatollah:

Dont desert now City fans stay together and fight to stay up. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:[/quote

I agree we need to give OGS a chance . I remember you saying that we needed to give Malky til Christmas and we did.
We need better players and lets don't forget who's giving us the money !

Most that have criticised Tan will now be hoping that he can finance our chances of staying in the Prem.

We need to support the team every week and Judge Ole after 12 games.

No doubt as a very good striker, Ole will drill into them that shooting consistently at the middle of a goal will not often lead to a goal

Agree, also did create alot of chances but most seemed to get the sting taken out of them by getting deflected into the keepers arms.

You could tell we had a ew manager when we took a center half off and put on a center forward, yes we were playing ten men but Malky would have put Cowie or worst Gunnarson on , city didn't play that bad they just need somebody to put the ball in the net'

Re: " Judge Ole after 12 games, but I have to admit "

I thought Cardiff's football today was difficult to watch in the first half, but improved in the second half when Bellamy came on and there seemed to be more belief, more attack minded play and more trying to keep the game in the West Ham half. However, still too much tippy tappy outside the box with little clue as to how to translate that into a goal. I suspect Ole will be sat down tonight thinking "surgery required = triple heart bypass rather than breast augmentation". New guy looked good. Confident. Cornelius looked the opposite. Good to see Ole make brave choices with his substitutions. Atmosphere was weird - flat and impatient. Even had fisticuffs in the family stand...

Yep and if we had spent that 8m we wasted on Crony on a decent striker we could be celebrating a victory tonight.

Campbell runs the channels well but he should have buried that chance and wanted too much time and touches in the box on other occasions. His touch isnt the best either.

Annis, we can't claim the ball crossed the line anymore as the tecnology is in place to tell us. I have seen pictures since and it's nowhere near over. We are going to struggle the next few months and it's up to Ole to sort this mess out. Hope he can do it but if we are adrift come the end of February then we really are in the shit.

Palace and Sunderland have turned a corner, a mate of mine is a Spurs fan and told me this evening that Palace were exceptional.
