some fans baffle me in saying fabio is not good enough for us

champions league final, better than taylor and john an unproven 18 year old, but to top it off the fact that OGS has brought him in and has faith in him, yet most of you are making out as if OGS is wrong, good start arm chair managers

Perhaps we will sign a pre contract for fabio and loan zaha maybe that is allowed

This is the only transfer we've made with them so far.

I'm surprised by the negative response. Seems like a very good signing to me.

Fabio is shite..Whats wrong with Declan John... hes young, hes impressed everyone so far and he dont get booked every game.

There's a bit of a difference in the carling cup final an the champions league final

He'll provide some pace down the left from LB, not afraid to put in a cross. Better than what we have at the moment so why not?

They play in different positions. There's nothing stopping us having both of them.

Some guy just posted 2 players cannot be loaned from the same team, is he bullshitting or?

From the Daily Mail in December 2011:

"Premier League rules maintain a club can not have two players on loan from the same club."

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... -loan.html

I don't know whether it still stands or not!

From the FA rule book

52.2.2 No Club may sign more than 4 loan Players (Standard, International, Emergency or Youth) from another Club (or club) in any Season. An additional Youth Loan Player may be added to this figure.

Wow ...... who's said there's anything wrong with Declan? You need 2 decent players for every position in this league. Fabio is a far better player than Taylor and far more experienced than Declan. Do you really expect an 18 year old defender to play every game in the toughest league of all?
I'm amazed at the idiots posting on here lately :sad7:

Can't bring myself to get excited about this one, tbh. I'd rather Dec play there with Taylor as back up. How many full-backs does one club need ffs.

Having watched utd for 2 seasons most home games, I say good signing. Quality player. Good at the back and going forward. He will shine for us.

We need one who's up to the prem. Taylor isn't. Dec isn't yet (will be imo). Loan Fabio, sign him on a pre-contract and sell Taylor. Job done.

Declan is a good player but he's too young to be our first choice option just yet, he didn't have any games under his belt in the Champ and he got thrown into the dep end, Fabio is more experienced than him at this level and has played for the biggest club in English football and has also experienced relegation battles, would be a decent signing

Agree. People shouldn't underestimate how important his relegation experience is. People may be tempted to look at the negatives but he knows what it's like. That'll come in handy. And yes, much better than Dec (for now).
