Eikrem is playing really well though. Too bad Cornelius can't finish

Well played by Cardiff, dominating in most stats. Obvious need for a new goal scorer though... It's a shame Cornelius isn't scoring yet, but he's very young and has lots of time to improve. Eikrem looked very good the little while he was out there, both on and off the ball. Some positives for sure, but it's a shame they couldn't win such an important game at home.

what a joke.

Can't put a goal past a team that's conceded 11 in the last 2 games. Couldn't score in a bloody brothel. :x

How the f**k have West Ham won that?

What's irritatingly familiar is the fickleness currently being shown by West Ham fans. They wanted Allardyce gone only yesterday, and now he'll be praised (probably), despite City absolutely battering them. Obviously, they won't care a jot.

Eikrem played ok, though he didn't make a difference. Will improve when he gets to know the players and their movements better. Cardiff's best period was before he came on though.

Maybe one day he will get run in team no one can be expected to play well on 10 mins a game. Every time.

Embarrassing more than anything else. That was a must win game and now we're piling on the pressure. Hope we can take something from the next two games!

Whitts needs to be dropped. His deliveries have been piss poor. Eikrem looked very promising when he came on, we did miss Mutch alot today!

Dissapointing result, but I think the guys showed some good playing spirit.Certainly deserved a draw or win in my opinion, but thats how cruel this game sometimes can be.

This. Luckily, the bottom seven teams or so are so close that any win by Cardiff in the next couple of games should send them over the relegation line. No reason to panic, although a win or at least a draw would be comforting here. It also seems that a lot of people in this thread would prefer losing 0-2 while getting dominating rather than losing while dominating.

Dominated that, so that's progress. Really could've done with a win there, but the signs look good. Norwich game is now CRUCIAL though, we have to win that.

Ref was a joke though.

agree with you there when the hell are we going to get a penalty

What a pity. No way did we deserve to lose and OGS made sensible substitutions to try to get something out of it. Stick with OGS and the team cos we know we will probably be in a bad position after the next two games.
I think OGS saw that odemwhingie is not the answer - considering his age he was a poor poor buy. I think Whitingham needs to improve quickly also. He is lacking confidence, and instead of working harder he seems to be half hearted. Near the end West Ham nearly scored from a header - Whitingham was beaten far too easilly and Catherine nearly conceded a penalty. Catherine is good going forward but his positional sense when defending needs to improve.
Support the team and manager till the end of the season and cross fingers!!!

Fucked my throat up screaming at the linesman when Caulker's short got pulled in second half. Was shocking, and there for everyone to see.

And for all the shit our 'keeper has had for time wasting, bookings n all sorts, how did theirs get away with what he did? 4 minutes injury time was a joke.

Why only four minutes added on with the substitutions and constant time wasting is beyond me. The officials aren't too blame for the loss but f**k me were they shit. I thought the premier league standard was better than championship. What an utter joke.

Marshall - 6 wasn't at fault
Catherine - 6 linked up well with medel at times but can get pinned going forward/defence isn't great but I still like him
Caulker - 7 typical performance did well to stop a few chances and start a few attacks
Hudson - 6 nothing special but better than turner, maybe could've done better for first goal
John - 7 did very well at closing down balls and getting forward, needs to know when to cross and when not to

Medel - 7 classic performance, one very poor pass but made up for it, had to go off for us to press more but did well
Whitts - 4 delivery worse than usual, shots horrifically poor, some decent play but really needs to be dropped now I'm sorry
Kim - 6 still lightweight but did well to break through some play even if he did give the ball away cheaply a few times
Noone - 5 did well to beat a few players but west ham were doubling on us so his style was never going to be effective
Odemwingie - 6 actually played well at times but to no effect

Cambell - 6 nothing he could do but still tried hard unlucky at times

Eikrem - 6 looked sharp and the only one confident enough to try risky passes, obviously suited this style of play more
Bellamy - 5 played ok but delivery from corners was shocking
Cornelius - 4 horrendous, looked frustrated so I feel sorry for him, hopefully it will motivate him to do better and so will ole

Ole - 6 we got what we asked for but had a taste of our own Malky style medicine, pressed so much that west ham were just sitting in their box and we didn't have the long shot specialists to make them pay but decent for his first match.

It was a deflating first home game in charge for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Cardiff's new manager, especially after last weekend's hugely encouraging FA Cup win at Newcastle. Solskjaer said: "The first half surprised me because we didn't have any energy and enthusiasm. Why? The game never got going after a lot of stoppages. For the second half Craig Bellamy came on and made a big difference, getting us on to the front foot."

Cardiff, whose accounts reveal they are £118m in debt, drop into the bottom three for the first time this season, and their next two league matches are against Manchester City and Manchester United, both away. Solskjaer, however, insisted there was "no panic" and introduced a new signing, Mats Moller Daehli, an 18-year-old midfielder from his former club, Molde. Daehli, believed to have cost £1m, was at Manchester United's academy as a 15‑year-old.

Solskjaer said: "Max is an outstanding talent who made his debut for Norway in November. Man United had the option to take him back but he has chosen to come here. He's an inside midfielder who likes to get between the lines and take people on."
