Current position is irrelevant. Finishing position is what matters and is a matter of record.

We are half way through the season , what relevance does finishing position have? Are you Mystic Peg?

Current league position is irrelevant to the fact that they are still champions. That's why they wear the gold PL badges. They are still champions until either they retain it or someone takes their crown. Similarly, our last finishing position was 9th and therefore top 10 and will be until we either finish above, or below that position

They are last seasons champions not this.

Fact.

We are not this seasons Championship winners, we were last seasons.
Jacks are not a top ten club at the moment.
Factamoid! ;)

As I thought I explained, finishing position dictates as to whether you are a top 4, top 6 or top 10 club. Quite simple really.
Just to make it a bit simpler, if you finish in position 1 - 4, then you are a top 4 club, 5 or 6 makes you a top 6 club and 7 - 10 makes you a to 10 club. We finished 9th, so what does that make us?

Re: Solskjaer latest

Let's make it really simple for you! The season hasn't finished yet!

Re: Solskjaer latest

Id say Swansea are a top 10 club.

Finished top 10 last year, top 10 overall average Premier league finish and realistic top 10 aims this year. Currently 11th.

Tottenham a top 6 side because again thats where they have finished recently and have realistic aims to continue to do it - the fact they are currently 7th doesn't really change that.

Agreed, for last season.
The PL Cup has their name on it for last season.
This season is still to be played for....agree?

Clearly, this lot are so blinded by jealousy and bitterness that they can't understand (or more likely don't want to understand) simple logic!

Why have a season? Just rest on your laurels! All promoted teams, including Hull, are automatically a bottom three club! Ludicrous Jack nonsense! Castro can't even add up his own predictions correctly!

.....but how then can you be considered a top 10 club if you haven't finished the season in that position?

No. Just as Cardiff, Hull and Palace are not championship clubs. But you can't be a top ten club unless you finish in the top ten. That's my logic

Re: Solskjaer latest

Simplessss! You are in the top ten! How crap is education in Swansea?

Its impossible for any of those clubs to finish in a premier league position let alone be their realistic aim

Close - but no cigar! You must FINISH in the top 10.

Martyn - are you serious? That's the whole point of this discussion. Your standing is based on last season's finish. Hence, we are a top ten club.

You identified him as a prospective candidate for Laudrup's replacement, was that based on pure whimsy or any sort of football perspective?
I always know your struggling closet boy when you refer to me by my Christian name! Try to be less predictable!
I can cut my own food up! Such a cheap, distasteful remark!
