Thanks for yor proffesionalism MM but a decsion I 100% agree with as I did when DJ went. DJ went one season too long and if MM stayed it again would have been one season too long. We would have gone down with the current tactics and team on display. To spend the money MM has spent and play the worst football in the league is poor. OGS will do me and bring in some top manc players on loan in the transfer window. Fergie loves Ollie and he is still calling the shots at Old Trafford.

Now we know. Lets get behind the next manager. Thank you Malky.

Why would any grown man want to do that.

It simply had to be done and quickly. There was no way that a working relationship could be resolved between Tan and Malky. At least now we can get the new man in with hopefully some cash for reinforcements in January.
Solksjaer is very well thought of in the football world as a bright young manager with a finely tuned football brain. Add to that the many contacts he would have in England and Norway and I would say that we could do a lot worse than take a calculated risk on him.
I'd much prefer him to the "been round the block," washed up brigade who have also been mentioned.

Its the players who are not good enough not Malky.
yeah he played negative football, but it got us to the premier.
I cant see anyone doing any better with the shower of shit that we have.

I'll see myself out.........

I get no pleasure watching Tan destroy Cardiff City, I hope they get someone in sooner rather than later before the owner starts meddling with team affairs.
I hope you avoid relegation because having two Welsh clubs playing in the Premier League is good for Wales.

MM bought the players tho and has blown millions. We need to get some good quality loans in till end of season and quick just to survive. We can ship out and build in summer.

Malky Mackay has finally been sacked by controversial Cardiff owner Vincent Tan after two-and-half successful years in charge.
The 41-year-old Scot has been embroiled in a bitter public row with the Malaysian businessman and his dismissal comes less than 24 hours after their 3-0 defeat to this season's surprise package in the Premier League Southampton.
After the game fans were out in force to protest about Tan's running of the club in a very public backing of the popular boss.
Tan sent Mackay an email telling him to resign or be sacked in which he complained about a number of issues including his transfer dealings over the summer.
"The Board of Directors at Cardiff City have relieved Malky Mackay of his duties. A new first team manager will be appointed in due course," the Welsh side said in a statement on their website
Mackay masterminded the club's journey to the Premier League earlier this year and ended their tag as 'also-rans' after years of coming close, but failing to gain promotion.
But the first signs of trouble behind the scenes appeared in October when Mackay's head of recruitment Ian Moody was shown the door with Tan complaining of a £15 million overspend on players - a point Mackay has always denied.
Tan's patience has finally snapped and now the club will begin the search for a new boss with former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the early favourite to take the hot seat.

The way is see it. If Malky was going to be sacked then better now than February. A new manager can buy players he wants in Jan, rather than what we already have. Im not saying Malky should go, far from it. But if Tan was going to do it then better now than February. I hope he has someone lined up to take us forward. The other issue for tan was even when he listened to us and did not sack him originally, the fans still called tan out protest yesterday. Tan was starting to listen but the fans carried on punching him in the face. Left him no choice but to fight back. So all those at protest yesterday take a good look in mirror today. When Tan started backing down it was a time to accept it and talk to him not carry on punching him.

A sad but fairly inevitable outcome given the clear relationship breakdown between Owner and Manager. There are a couple of good shouts for a renegade appointment like Bielsa but he's surely too experienced to work for an egotistical megalomaniac like Vincent Tan. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will take any opportunity he can to manage in the Premiership.
If the appointment doesn't work out (i.e. keeping Cardiff up this season) then Tan will look a complete idiot.

Who would want the job with Tan there!
Can only see a 'yes man' coming in.

Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has been sacked, with the Scot relieved of his duties the day after the Premier League side were defeated 3-0 at home by Southampton.
Mackay's acrimonious departure comes despite the club granting him a reprieve last weekend after controversial Malaysian owner Vincent Tan's e-mail demanding he either resign or be sacked. That ultimatum was briefly lifted when chairman Mehmet Dalman stated Mackay would be in charge for the "forseeable future", but the 3-0 Boxing Day defeat against Southampton proved to be the ex-Watford boss' last in charge.
A statement on the Cardiff website read: "The Board of Directors at Cardiff City Football Club have today relieved Malky Mackay of his duties. A new first team manager will be appointed and announced in due course."
Tan's email had included a list of grievances with the former Watford manager, and Mackay said he had been left "deeply upset" by its content. There has been ill-feeling between the two since Tan's removal of Iain Moody as his head of recruitment in October, and the owner was said to be furious at Mackay's hopes of adding to his squad in January, which resulted in last week's incendiary email.
Mackay had twice requested a meeting with Tan and Dalman this week in order to discuss their differences, but the Scot revealed the Malaysian had turned them down He refused to step down however but it looked like the axe would fall after last Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield, until the reprieve which was to prove shortlived.
Mackay, who has been linked with the vacancy at West Brom, had launched a staunch defence of his performance as manager, which Tan criticised in his email ultimatum. Thursday's loss left the Bluebirds, who under 42-year-old Mackay won promotion to the top flight last season, just a point above the relegation zone.
Cardiff fans have been backing their now former manager with chants of "Don't sack Malky Mackay" heard among the home support on Thursday. Mackay is the sixth Premier League manager to leave his job this season, his dismissal following those of Andre Villas-Boas (Tottenham), Steve Clarke (West Brom), Martin Jol (Fulham), Ian Holloway (Crystal Palace), and Paolo Di Canio (Sunderland).
Mackay leaves his post having guided Cardiff to the League Cup final in 2012 and the Championship title in 2013. They lie 16th in the Premier League, one point above the relegation zone.

Sorry Malky that you had to work for and with a moron. It is clear that the owner does not know anything about British football. Malky certainly did. Tan just sacked a winner. There is a great deal of uncertainty now that Malky is gone.
The poor performance on Boxing day was certainly due to Tan's stupid ultimatum of resign or get sacked and other stupid interference with the Manager. How can you work with an owner who tries to undermine you at every turn.
We still really do not know why Malky was let go. Malky's performance was fantastic. The team's performance was developing and showed signs of real growth. Tan wanted to be at the top of the table instantaneously. Man City spent multiple millions and still could not win the title until a few seasons later. Had Tan followed Malky strategy we would have improved significantly. But stingy Tan would not loosen the purse strings for the January window and accused Malky of spending too much over the summer. Given Tan's back tracking and miss steps, I believe Malky did not spend as Tan claims.
Tan had the opportunity to be a real hero to Cardiff City Football Club. He was welcomed at one point and then the underhanded and poor method used to push the re-branding was a disaster. He lost most of the crowd. Cardiff fans felt they lost most of their heritage with the color change and the change of the badge, Tan undermined all the good that he brought to the club by what he was doing. BUT why is it that Tan feels a need to tell the fans how much money he has invested in the club. It is if he is threatening us or is he bragging. Last count he spent 140 million quid. Well hero's are humble and there is nothing humble about Tan. He has to arrogantly push his money and tell us how rich he is.
Why is it that Tan, who it is rumored to have bought another football club, has promised not to change the colors or badge of this new club or is this a lie like the one he perpetrated on the Cardiff City Fans.
