Froch was getting on top and his fitness levels were showing.Groves was starting to miss and get caught. It would have all been over by 10 or 11 if the ref hadn't stepped in.Crap decision but only delaying the inevitable.Plus i won 200 quid.

Well done.he was always gonna be stronger towards at the end,but it should have a natural ending not 1 in the form of corruption

What gets me more this morning is how did 2 judges have groves up by just 1 round. He had a 10-8 round. Not that my opinion means anything but I had groves up by 4 although could see a case for 3. But 1 round!!?? The scorecards across the world of late in title fights have been severely weak, and a big enquiry needs to occur.

Corruption is taking it a bit far.The ref could see Groves was wobbling and beginning to struggle so pulled the plug.It was a bad decision that early but as i say it was only a matter of time before Froch took him out.

over the last 12 months, there has been numerous dodgy decisions.

froch took a lot of heavy shots in the beginning of the fight. The ref didn't jump in then.I personally think theres too much politics controlling the sport.I aint saying groves would have lasted but he was still fighting back at the time of stoppage

True. But Froch's knockdown was early and he was clearly capable of carrying on, which he did.Groves was shot and in danger of getting hurt although still active.Great fight though and Froch never disappoints apart from his big gob.

this.also froch was knocked over early.still fresh.george had been involved in a war by the time he got stopped.after eubank v watson any fighter looking fatiued will run the risk of the ref stepping in if they are taking punishment.i think people need to remember after the watson tragedy that a ref was to live with desiscions that could lead to a boxer spending his life in a wheelchair.

Fully agree with the blue nose and the jack b*stard.

I didnt think the ref was corrupt thought he was spoiling it throughout tbh. Too busy for my liking.

Great upload of the fight here.

Here is my scorecard for what its worth

Rd 1 Huge round to Groves 2 pointer.

Rd 2 Close round to Froch.

Rd 3 either way thought that Froch won exchanges. Tied.

Rd 4 Froch did solid body work , but round to Groves.

Rd 5 round to Froch

Rd 6 Big round for Groves
Stupidly allowed Froch back in last 30 seconds though. (Groves looks tired)

Rd 7 clear round for Groves.
Surprised to see Froch stay up twice from two big rights.

Rd 8 Big round for Froch.
Froch bullying Groves, Groves turning his back.
Froch going downstairs a lot

Rd 9 Before stoppage, round to Froch
Froch took a few thunderous shots.
About 1.55 Froch tags Groves big time and his legs go.
Ref takes Froch of Groves.
When ref allows action continues,
Froch started to tee up on Groves,
Groves turns his back and it looks like he was falling into the ref.
1.27 left on the clock...Froch would have knocked him out IMO.
