favourite dram of whisky for a weekend?

There is another auction next Wednesday 18th Feb. at Brightwells in Leominster with over 100 lots of Whisky.

Im back at work out of the country so im gutted! But I will be looking to bid online/phone for lot 540 and will be going all out for 537. thanks for giving out the dates, i shall let you know how i get on.

My brother bought me a bottle for Christmas and it is, by far the smoothest and most flavoursome scotch I've ever tried.

Sorry, I miss read the orig post. Sounds interesting, funny thing, I was looking at the Darkest just before last Xmas, but due to price, I went for the small batch Bowmore instead,,,which I found disappointing.

Just seen that whiskey link you sent rick the Bowmore is £25! That's a good few quid cheaper than anywhere else I've seen.

I'm not exactly an expert but I've tried a fair few scotches and the Bowmore dark really is a tastey treat. Infact I can't wait to get back to cardiff next week and knock a few back on the rocks haha

It was the the wording "Cherry cask" that threw me at first,,, & my preference is for a Sherry finished malt.

I bought a Glendronach 15 yr revival a couple of weeks ago, it's a Sherry beauty, & one of the most smooth malts I've had the privilege of drinking.

I hope your bids win. I'm not after any whisky at the moment as I have a few open bottles ( and a few full), plus I prefer good rum, armagnac and cognac before whisky, so they will last me a few years.
