A foreign manager can help improve Welsh talent, that I don't object to.

Foreign players to be shouldn't be allowed but can just about accept. A foreign captain no, sorry. You make a reasonable and acceptable response but nothing you will say can make it right. He can be the best captain in the world but if he isn't Welsh he shouldn't have the armband IMO.

And no I dont know what he dreamed as a child but if he is any sort of reasonable human I'd hope it would be to captain his country, well at least in footballing teams.

But he is Welsh. If he wasnt he couldnt play for us. Its about the blood not where you are born.

I was born in Morocco when my dad (english) worked out there with my mum (welsh) at the time. Id be pretty annoyed if someone said i couldnt captain wales if called up, im as welsh as the next man.

How would this scenario play out ?????

If there was an international amnesty and all previous caps didn't count - Roy Hodgeson and Coleman ring you up

Ramsey - Wales
Bale - Wales
Allen - Wales
Davies - Wales
Collins - Wales

Williams - ??

All those years trying to get schoolboy caps and watching your hero's at the Millennium when you were a kid form you....

What is Williams connection to Wales?

Wales every time. Without a doubt.

Giggs was loved as captain yet he spent most of his life in England and even played for England schoolboys. Yet nobody said anything when he pulled on the armband. And thats a fact.

To me its what you feel you are.

I grew up with family and friends and a school system that taught me I am Welsh.

Did Earnie have any Welsh blood, but he gave all he had for the cause.....

Agreed, felt welsh, and I can accept that in a player (just about).

Not in a Captain.

People can say what they wont, they dont have to agree, i dont care if they agree but IMO Williams should not be captain

Bale would switch to England in a heartbeat if he had his caps wiped out.

I would pick England if I was as good as him. There's no chance I'd waste my ability on Wales.

You're far more marketable as a player if you go to World Cups too.

Because Cotterill has oremier league and international experience, if hed brought in Huws people would be saying "why is he bringing on someone who plays for Northampton Town."

Although Emyr Huws is also ex Swansea dont forget.

roathie I think you will find he is currently captain of man city u 21s.and the point being why play cotterill and tudor jones ahead of young talent in a friendly ps ricketts play in league 2.

FAW or Coleman, how they believe picking an Englishman as captain is just a p*ss take, goes for any nationality if it's Scottish.

I will have someone slate me on this view but I boycotted since it happened, I sold my Scotland tickets for home when it happened and also saved a lot of money for Scotland away which I was excited about.

Dando mate im not having a pop bud,nor am i being picky. But if you genuinely hand on your heart felt this way then surely you wouldve walked away when Vinnie Jones was Captain?

As far as im concerened you have a right to do as you please, i havent been to a welsh match in years but its dont to the actual FAW and not people playing for the team.

like i said mate im not having a pop, just saying... :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
