O
But please don't preach about losing identity. When the vetch went and you loaned a council pitch (a bit like Poncanna really). You lost a chunk of your identity as well. Did Swansea lose any identity back in the 60's when they changed their name form Town to City ?
Cardiff City was one of the last bastions of old school football, the moved killed the old school not Vincent Tan.

You're not Cardiff City anymore. You've been turned into a franchise. You'll soon be Cardiff Dragons or whatever Tan wants. It's amazing that you're letting it happen. So many blinkered views on here, it's unreal.
If you're in League 2 playing in red, will that be ok? Or is it just ok to sell your soul for the Premier League? Pathetic.
With regards to "Swansea killed off local businesses", yet another lie that's spewed out by the more brainless cardiff fans. Just remember how much debt we were in back then. A tiny slither of the amount that you have built up over the years.
As much as I hate the fact we play in red, we're still Cardiff City you condescending gypo c**t.

Charming. Typical response. You're no longer the same club.
What would you f*cking know
It's pretty obvious. The visit to your stadium the other week showed me everything I needed to know.
Cardiff City in name, only. And that could even change soon.
What the visit when we smashed you on the pitch and out sang you off it LOL so are Swansea the same club ? You dont even own a stadium bloody gypo.s

I don't quite know what that's got to do with anything but yes it was when you beat us. Well done on that, in your cup final. It's actually a weird feeling this season. Usually, in the past 15 years or so anyway, the derby was the one thing that mattered most. We had to beat you lot. I honestly thought I'd be more gutted at the fact we lost to you. It was a long journey home, I won't lie, but i'm not too bothered about it. It seems the roles have well and truly reversed due to us getting promoted two seasons ago.
We don't own our stadium? So what has that got to do with it? There are huge clubs around Europe that don't own their own ground.
Do you own yours then? Serious question. Could you sell it off if you wanted to or is the land leased?
Are we still the same club? Well, we've risen up the leagues without the help of a billionaire and are now the number one team in Wales again. We still play in White and we are owned and run by supporters. So I guess, yes. Yes we are. Same old Swansea.

I think that the longer you stay here, the more plastic fans will be at your club who aren't so fussed on the whole blue/red debate.
When we hounded Petty out of our club it was back in the dark days when we had a smaller fan-base who all really cared. The problem you have is that the ones who are passionate about the rebrand aren't in large enough numbers. Far too many people are buying the red merchandise and wearing the free red scarves.
If you find yourself in the Championship then you'll lose about 8k on the weekly attendance and there won't be as many plastics willing to take your place in the stands. Maybe then you'll have a chance. At the moment Tan can do, and is doing, whatever the hell he wants because if you don't attend the games then a plastic will.

Hofmeister wrote:it wasnt the same after leaving Ninian, we left a big part there. But we all knew it would happen and we had no choice.
The rebrand was completely unnecessary, and it alienated fans. I can honestly say that I tried to get along with it, accept the beermat and the colour change, but its impossible for me. It literally hurts me seeing our team in alien colours. It doesnt look or feel like Cardiff anymore, plus that clown in red with his pants under his pits, who looks like a poor animator in a cheap chinese holiday camp. Listening to Vincent the Red Clown saying "we will always be red" makes my blood boil, would love to smash him.
Therefore a complete boycott is the only solution for me, no tickets, not even watching games on TV or the internet. Rather keep the good times in blue in my memory, when we travelled to support our boys under our blue banner, with our badge. When we made Ninian our fortress, other teams were almost scared when entering Sloper Road. Of course there were bad games as well, bad times, bad atmosphere etc... but those were our times.
I could identify with the club 100% back then... Impossible nowadays...
