Game over, may as well look on to the Stoke game now as there's no chance we'll get any points against United or Arsenal

Of course it is but we offer nothing going forward and now we are being made to pay for it. 2-0 down against Villa with games vs United and Arsenal coming up. Without Mutch in the team we've got no dynamism or explosiveness to go from the middle of the park to final phase and attack.

Malky is gone by the end of November. I can't see us beating the in form Arsenal unfortunately or even getting a draw against them, being a realist and neither can I see United dropping any points against us with the way we invite pressure on. Against United, that is asking to be thrashed.

Tan will see 0 or at maximum now, 1 point from 9 on offer out of those 3 games and he won't be happy. Thats if Malky even makes it that far. I would not be surprised if hes gone during the international break.

Two average sides separated by a great goal ... that's football. Still don't like our 'style' of play. Villa will go on and get a second

I was right. Sorry but we're still too defensive & will be in the relegation mix if this shit play carries on. Who's going to score for us if we don't score from a set piece?

I wish we had a manager that knows how to play attacking football

very poor positioning fro marshall imo
it wasnt exactly top corner

Marshall was blinded by the wall.

dont get me wrong marshall is and has been quality for us .
that free kick was from a right footer taking it from the left hand side of defence , 9times out of ten that ball is aimed at the keepers left , marshall was flat footed and allowed his wall to block his view . poor goalkeeping

Agreed, only one place that ball, was going to go. He didn't move his feet one inch.Literally.

I agree with you both. Im just saying Marshall was blinded. It was his own fault as it was on him to set the wall up in a way which still allowed him to read the ball's path. He didn't and he got caught flat footed and made to pay for setting up the wall in a way which stopped him from viewing the balls path.

Of course we are going to be in the relegation mix. I'd be amazed if anyone thought differently. Last year a mere 46pts got you 9th, a couple of wins away from the usual drop zone.
We will be in a dogfight all season, along with the rest of the bottom half.

Good for 60 minutes but then let them back into game. We simply have to offer more in attack going forward less we will just whimper out of this league. Get stuck in FFS and have a go!!!!

After a good hour or so we let Villa back into control and back off

Patience, patience. We have not got the players to bother any of the top 14 teams in this league away from home. We are playing against six other clubs to stay up and if we catch a team on an off day then alls good, but thats as good as its going to get, i'm afraid. Home form will be the key

Can't help feel that we let them off the hook. Got the crowd frustrated but we seem disinterested in going up a gear for the win, content with the draw. Any point way from home is decent, but if a win is there to grasp I'd rather we gamble that draw on going for all 3. If it comes off 1 in 3 times we haven't lost anything, and that assumes we see the game out for a draw which we failed to do today.

Went out with a whimper.

Teams know that they can attack us at will as we offer so little going forward. We need to put teams on the back foot more. Thought Theo played well again today but we need more on the LHS and a more positive mentality. This 'come and break us down' mentality is getting on my tits.

I think Crag Noone is the answer. Pacey, skillful, direct. If we'd brought him on for Cowie or Bellers around the hour mark we'd have one that. Campbell would benefit from him as well.

Maynard isn't impressing me when he comes on

I always back Cowie, and defended his inclusion today. But he was totally non existent in the game. Couldn't get involved and ineffective on the ball. Nooney would have been a much better option.

Most of the team were ineffective! We weed to take it on the chin and push on again!
