You said the Swansea fans (who were musicians etc) were bitter about the stuff cardiff has (again whatever that stuff is). We know the short distance between the two, we know that these famous fans probably have a bit of coin.... Common sense tells us that if they were that bothered to constitute actually being "bitter" then they would move there

Im not speaking about the documentary, im speaking on your idiotic constant inane generalisations.

They weren't all famous people, in fact, there was only one... Mal Pope. But you'd know that if actually had seen the documentary.

All the Swansea fans, with the exception of one, was complaining about Wales getting the Assembly & all Swansea got was a swimming pool & how that summed up the relationship of Swansea with its capital City.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of working in swansea for a while and everyone i met had a hatred for Cardiff city and Cardiff people in general.
I found it hard to understand because people i know in Cardiff don't even mention swansea.People from swansea have a terrible inferiority complex and definitely carry a chip on their shoulder towards Cardiff. Why i don't know.

the fact they were famous wasnt really my point. Im not famous yet i moved to cardiff. I was replying to polo who said they were made up of musicians etc

All the Swansea fans, with the exception of one, was complaining about Wales getting the Assembly & all Swansea got was a swimming pool & how that summed up the relationship of Swansea with its capital City.

they are probably asked to say that sort of rubbish to seem like there is conflict between there. Why does it matter where the assembly is? I lived in cardiff for 6 years and never once been. If you think the average swansea fan is annoued because a building they would probably never set foot in is located somewhere else then you arent being realistic. Id rather a swimming pool.

Roathie, Polo has got you here to be fair. Not one of your best days getting defeated by Polo. 24 hours break from the forum to recollect yourself? I think you need to dust yourself down and go again.

You do realise your entire team and most of your fanbase was singing about "coming for us" on your promotion parade dont you?

spot on
we tend to look at the bigger picture whereas Swansea folk with their inferiority complex tend to be more inward looking.

Ive added what you cut out.

It is a documentary about the two cities. Do you genuinelly think these people are mentioning the welsh assembly without prompt or a probing question into it? In all my years going to the vetch and liberty, I havent heard one person ever say anything regarding the Welsh assembly

It certainly is.

If I watched babe pig in the city and as a result was claiming all pigs spoke perfect english the debate would be about the common sense of your argument.. You wouldnt have needed to see the film to know your viewpoint is illogical.

It doesnt matter. Your viewpoint is illogical, these people have free will and can move to wherever they please. People are not limited to the city of the football team they support. Its 40 mins away, whatever Cardiff has they can use. Its nonsense.

Annis, that's a socio-economic/career driven thing to progress and better ones self. For many in the UK, London is the place to be as it has everything including higher wages and if you play the game right you can make a tonne of money and set yourself up there if you are willing of course to make sacrifices whilst living there. Others live each day as it comes and take the glitz and glamour lifestyle of work hard and play hard.

Who the heck in terms of social or economic well being are going to look to Swansea as a way of progression? No one other than those in less well off places. Most people chase the dream and living the city life with a good job. The reason I've gone to university is to get an education so I can advance and get a decent job in a place like London or another big European city.

It's all to do with affiliation. When you think of Cardiff you are already thinking 'capital of Wales, city, built up, decent night life and so on' as they're symbolic links. London 'big ben, London eye, black cabs, etc. etc.' I could go on forever about links to London. Its all engrained in us through our lives on a daily basis.

The chip on the shoulder is no different to how less well of Londoners see more affluent Londoners as yuppies and so on. Some people use those better off and who've done something with their lives as motivation whereas others use it as a tool to hate and take cheap shots at them.

Im not talking about the documentary. I am talking about peoples opinions/comments that all swansea fans are bitter due to 8 or 9 people in a documentary that have no reason to be bitter in the first place  if they were theyd move. Simple common sense.

Its a premise not a specific thing. Maybe i should have that as my signature then maybe it may get through.

I think you need key stage 1 reading but there we go

This is a thread about the documentary.

Its probably why you and other jacks choose this Mb rather than a Swansea Mb,you want to be part of the capital city.I bet the first thing you do on match day is look for our results,i think subconsciously your more a bluebird than a swan.
