I may be able to shed a little light on the honesty or otherwise (actually the Walter Mitty fantasy world) of Adam Brown in regards to some of his claims and comments on this thread.


1) UKIP did not open any accounts on behalf of Adam Brown for his election campaign

2) UKIP expressly forbade Adam Brown to spend any money in their name during the election unless he was prepared to pay for it himself.

3) Adam Brown ignoring this ran round Merthyr ordering thousands of extra leaflets, banners employing a firm of leaflet distributors on his behalf and ran up countless other costs telling all suppliers that UKIP would pick up the tab.

4) UKIP first became aware of this unauthorised (on their behalf) spending just after the election when contacted by AP printers of Merthyr and an elderly gentleman and his wife who had started a leaflet distribution business in their retirement to boost their income. Both businesses said that Brown had run up debts with them telling them to bill UKIP.

Both of the proprietors accepted immediately that Brown had run up the debts on his own behalf unauthorised and both mentioned that they had grave doubts about his payment arrangement claims at the time and accepted without reservation that UKIP had never authorised any order or payment of these materials.

5) The elderly gentleman claimed that he was so sickened by Brown's actions and subsequent debt that he would probably close the small business that he and his wife had started. He mentioned that he had continuously rung Brown for payment until eventually his wife had faced a very unpleasant conversation with Brown's wife and as a result of this had given up chasing payment but had noted that Brown and his wife had just gone on holiday to Greece whilst the elderly couple were left with contemplating winding up their little business.

6) AP printers of Merthyr told me that after months of unsuccessfully trying to get back £1,000 off Brown they took him to Merthyr County court and gained a CCJ against him for the debt and eventually got their money back.

7) Brown never settled another printing debt for £350.

He is without doubt the most dishonest person of any description that I have ever come across and I would warn anyone to be careful in their dealings with him he is Walter Mitty personified.

Well, it could be libelous in which case Brownie would have a point.

But then the ultimate defence to libel is truth.

Brownie needs to explain himself.

Whether its the truth or not, someones personal business should not be aired on a public forum. If he has done wrong which is yet to be proven then surely there are proper avenues for said events to go through.
