i can count on one hand the number of times Turner has pulled off these 80 yard balls hes been trying the last 2 years I dont know why Malky persists with it.

By the way, how many chances did Soldado get again? Muppet. Blind f*cking muppet.

You were clearly watching a different game, the majority in this thread are disagreeing with you. Turner has been playing well and is now being linked with an England call up. I think Malky and Roy Hodgson know more about football than you (or me). Some of your posts in this thread have been bizarre to say the least and you are coming across very aggressive, and a bit of a tool in fairness.

So changing the argument now then

Havent said he isnt playing well, he is defending very well, but that still doesnt excuse him giving the ball away so cheaply.

You, Robinson and Bluebird 87 are like the three blind mice. Look around the board and most are saying the same, great defending but woeful in posession.

As for the England call up not a chance I am afraid. Unless they have a massive injury list or Big Sam replaces Roy and wants to play long ball to Andy Caroll.

See how Liverpool gave away a goal at the weekend?
Good example for you, to see what happens when your pressed.

I'm not changing the argument. Soldado's only clear cut chance was the rebound from the cross bar when he was through on goal alone, I didn't say he only had one shot on goal did I? Soldado had a couple of shots in the first half but he was closed down or put under pressure, even the chance when Walker cut it back for them, he was challenged when he got his shot off, so they were only half chances in my opinion.

Turner's distribution against West Ham was absolutely woeful and he had a very poor game, but since that game, he has turned his form around. I am not disputing he lumps it unnecessarily sometimes, but I think it's very harsh to criticise his distribution yesterday, particularly during the first 25 minutes when Spurs had a good go at us at the start to try and pinch an early goal, closing us down quickly. I still think Turner had no alternative to hit his long channel balls early on as if he passed it back to Marshall, Soldado was sniffing around to pressure any back pass. I will agree to disagree.

I have barely passed judgement only given you stats.

In fact what little of my own opinion I have given has been along your lines.

To bring it back here are Turners passing distribution stats for West Ham and yesterday. Doesn't look like much has improved for me.
