Jay is pure class, but lazy and laid back, but if I had to chose it would be Jay every time, because when he is on fire, he is pure class.

Rudy for me every time.

At his best Jay was a much more talented player - but Rudy is improving and has the right attitude.

If Jay was signed (how does that work with the 25 man squad up to January?) he would come in 2-3 years past his best, with no pre-season and an attitude that definitely does not fit with the new Cardiff City team culture. It would be pointless.

yeah but lets be honest, we all prefer people who work 150% in every game. we loved eddie johnson, because he gave everything for the cause.

i'd rather have someone willing to give it all for the clause than someone who might have 1 or 2 good games.

All i remember is how our game was totally designed around him & if he wasn't playing, we were screwed!

Bothroyd was a fantastic servant for Cardiff City & doesn't deserve the flak he gets from our fans.

This, Dave Jones never got a system working that didn't depend on him our win/loss record with/without him is astounding. Yet people think his England cap had something to do with it. Truth was he was injured and didn't fully recover after his England cap (and still out scored Chopra and Bellamy). A quality player and leagues ahead of Gestede.

Bothroyd is well past his best, a good Championship player at the time, don't want him back, I felt he let us down in the playoff final, there is not a hope in Hell, Malky would want him in his team.....

Gestede is young and possibly one for the future, at the moment he fits the bill for a plan B big striker if needed, he's not perfect but he's the best we've got for now.....

I would rather Barry Chuckle than that waste of space Bothroyd
