They are certainly trying to divide the fans, that much is clear.

Rubbish Luke.

Personally I feel people on here are being dramatic about that. I bet the majority of fans know hardly anything about them.

Of course they are, it's pretty clear by the way statements are released, how they are the only real fans

In reality no, just like in reality I've not heard of one person fall out with friends over it, it just doesn't happen. Doesn't stop people talking nonsense about it.

Not at all. I know people who no longer talk to one another over the issue which some may see as childish, I do in fact, but thats just what has happened. The fan base is clearly divided hence the alleged altercations even at Wales games yet none of this is aimed at Tan in any way whatsoever, just fellow fans.

Plenty of people I know have fallen out over the rebrand. Two of my mates go to different pubs now and no longer drink with one another. One drinks in Canton, the other in The Neville.

That's not true at all.

It is true, if you listen to the interview SB did on the Jason Mohammed radio programme she clearly say VT should sit down with BU and be 'educated' about Cardiff City's history and identity.

He should be educated.. That doesn't mean that they are pushing for a meeting... :laughing6:

To call for VT to be educated by BU doesn't mean that they are pushing for a formal meeting. :laughing5:

Although if they are aiming for that, they're in dream world. The Trust can't even get a meeting with him.

No delusion here. Why not go and suggest to Tan that we call ourselves Cardiff Canton FC?! :laughing5:

Chuckles mate read back what you have just posted and spot the multiple contradictions :laughing5: or are you saying BU can educate VT at informal meetings  because that would make no sense either

No contradiction at all. Have you got a quote that BU have requested a formal meeting? If not, you're talking out of your arse.

How are Cardiff Canton doing these days? :laughing5:

No problem I'll call for an informal meeting where I'll educate him :laughing5:

I'm sure he'd be more willing to meet a Tan apologist like yourself than fans who actually have a backbone and will fight to keep at least some identity of this club, instead of suggesting ludicrous things like Cardiff Canton FC. :laughing5:

Jason Mohammed show SB said VT should sit down and be educated by BU. Informal/Formal wasn't the issue it was whether this bunch of hopeless people were deluded think they could leverage a meeting with VT.

Re: Bluebirds unite tells its members

In their last committee meeting it was discussed when to formally approach Cardiff City for a meeting and use their 10,000+ signatures as leverage to achieve this.

You seem to stalk BU a lot, knowing their meeting minutes, the movements of their chairperson... I find that a little bizarre.

That does not mean she is pushing for a meeting at all. Sorry but that is like minded people like you Tony being dramatic.

I would agree with Sian that VT needs to sit down with such an organisation like BU and be given a lesson in our history because no one else seems bothered about sticking up for it. However I don't see her demanding one and I would guess that is because Tan is showing his hard nose business side to this. She most likely feels if anything it would be a waste of time talking to him hence why BU have their marches and persuade people to wear blue at the games.

This, BU did a bit more than others, but this mentality was away within "if you're against us in anyway, you're a sell out" and the holier than thou attitude. If they found a way to be above that they would have been a better, more unifying force. They aren't.

Re: Bluebirds unite tells its members

Oh thats it, i've found the answer.

Bluebirds Unite are going to start giving lectures and Vincent Tan is going to enrol in their module "Tradition & History". That's how they will educate him.

Now it all makes sense.

Chuckles, just give it up already. You're not going to obtain brownie points here son as no one really cares. Sian said she was going to sit down with Tan and educate him hopefully. Whether thats at an informal meeting, a formal meeting or a Bar Mitzvah doesn't frigging matter.

I dont know the ins and out but it's hard to believe they were really that's good friends anyway then, in football terms the rebrand is huge, in the scheme of life it's minimal.

I still don't understand why she mentioned it if she didn't actually want a meeting :? Sorry Ian your explanation makes no sense on that and I really resent the personal attack. I'm only quoting what she said and it is a very reasonable to conclude that she was calling/suggesting/asking for a meeting with VT and that's what this part of the thread is about.

I think also you need to get things into perspective. VT isn't going to meeting someone who doesn't have universal support. 250 on that march was pathetic and in no way demonstrates a willingness to educate VT on anything.

May be just may be its not VT who needs educating its you

To some though, thats not the case. If it were, you wouldn't have people going to matches fighting for 'their' club in a tribal like manner and defending it as if its their religion. For some its more than just a part of life which to me comes across childish but then who am I to tell them how to live their lives?
