Dragons is the welsh emblem, hence we are the new (as we are new in prem after swansea) welsh dragons, as we are welsh and our national emblem. Thats my take on it anyway.

Under our name it says Cardiff city, under nickname it says bluebirds.

Craig, you think uve always got an answer for it, why did it not say that in the last 10 visits to Hull C? Why suddenly now?

Craig cant u see what is happening off the pitch?

ever stopped to think hull were taking the p+++ after all they have been renamed for abroad purposes! to me it was just mischief making on their part! if you think otherwise well more fool anyone who thinks otherwise! and yes it probably on agenda at some point but until then whats the point in worrying about it?: if it did come about I will be gone aswell after 42yrs,so I am not pro change before anyone starts on me???

 so nobody should give an opinion, just in case they are proved wrong?! What a load of bollocks!

I've given an opinion on what I think will happen, whether you disagree or agree, I'm still entitled to air that opinion.

If I'm wrong, fine - but the evidence is stacking up towards Tan looking at & wanting a name change.

In my opinion, for what it's worth, he won't make the change straight to Cardiff Dragons. He'll change you to Cardiff City Dragons first and then further down the line once you're accustomed to having Dragons in your name, he'll drop the 'City'.

Salami slicing tactics.

This is what I think will happen too... But I'm not allowed to say that apparently.

A lot of fans have their heads firmly in the Sand. We all know for a fact that is what Tan wants. And he will not stop till he gets it. But the real sad fact is the glory supporters we now have that want success at any price. And that is more hurtful than anything that Tan has planned.

Annis you are turning into Cardiff City's version of Joseph McCarthy, who in the 1950's was famous for whipping up hysteria against the supposed communism threat to America and in doing so inventing the immortal phrase "reds under the beds" (very apt IMO ;) )which has gone on to become a byword for anyone who is paranoid about someone else's motives.

Therefore according to you as we were referred to as 'Cardiff City Dragons' in an away programme that is supposed to be a tipping point at where everyone joins in with your personal grudge against Vincent Tan?

Not me sorry and I suspect not for many others as I have seen us referred to as the "Welsh Dragons" in many articles in the press or even away programmes well before the rebrand. I have always thought it as a tip of the hat to our Welsh Heritage rather than some impending doom.

McCarthy finally fell from grace and became a joke. His downfall was fuelled by his paranoia against communism and he just couldn't understand why 'others' couldn't see the 'threat' that he supposedly could. Of course we now know that communism could never have taken over the USA.

That's the problem with drawing conclusion from scanty evidence. Whilst you might be proved correct you also have to accept you might be completely wrong. For now I'm giving VT the benefit of the doubt as I can't see any commercial benefit he could gain from changing our name, but one thing is for sure I will never be persuaded by such low scare stories like the one above.

So if he changed the name of the club, you'd say it was just a name and it would be the same club?! :laughing5:

No progression, No Unity...
Just abuse, and Petty squabbling.

The subject is a major concern, but the reactions and pointless name calling is pathetic.

I dont like you (as u well know) but wankers like this who come in to our game are taken the sole out of our clubs.
Slag me off if u will but be honest! Even the more pro tan true bluebird must feel sick to even look at this guy let alone what he is doing.
Total pis take.

Don't think it is a joke to tan. He is deadly serious. If the name goes so do I. Been going for 32 years. If we become Cardiff dragons that is my club destroyed.

Same here, change the name & that's it for me it would be a step too far.
