without doubt the most amazing tv footage of all time - total disbelief watching it. Once that second plane hit obvious we were at war and luckily really that other targets that day didnt materialise. Sad sad day. Fair play to USA to come back so quickly from such an atrosity :notworthy:

Brussels Belgium. I was working near the Trade centre in the Financial district. We all got sent home following the news coming from NY in case of further attacks.

Shocking days and RIP to all those who lost their life's, just wish justice would be done!
Still to this day believe the US government had something to do with it mind, went into Iraq 11 days after the event. Slightly suspicious if you ask me, especially considering the Oil and Opium trade coming out of that part of the World

I think you might want to check your information on that one

11 days after 9/11 would have been the 22nd of september, America invaded Iraq 19th March 2003 a full 554 days after 9/11

Have a look at some of the following links man...
http://edition.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS ... eill.bush/ - that talks about how bush planned top invade prior to 2013 and the event - 9/11 - itself. Its also mainstream news - CNN.

Also, I have gotten mixed up. I do believe that through-out World Media they were claiming Al Qaeda were responsible 11 days after the event. My Bad. In any case I still think they were pretty much going to invade regardless and just needed the "event" to use as a reason.
If your curious there's also a document - Project for the New America Century - which is a document that outlines Americas Geo-Strategic imperatives for the coming years. In this document they - youll have to look up for yourself just who the "theys" are - state that it would be a long drawn out process without some catalyst - "A new pearl harbor" in their own words. Very, Very suspicious they had just their wishes barely 12 months later. :old:

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/11/opini ... .html?_r=0 - another link suggesting the administration had prior knowledge. Again New York Times is a reputable paper.

Stuck out at sea on a Royal Navy warship, had a deployment to the Falklands and South America. Thought our ships programme would change :(
It took quite a few days before we got to see the news whilst at sea.

I remember my mates flying home from the Falklands for leave and their aircraft had to come in and land somewhere abroad without them knowing what was happening

I was is Cambodia - Siem Reap. The guy I payed to show me around the temples on his motorbike kept getting little bits of info - "Nuclear bomb in New York", "World War III has started!". I thought it was part of some routine gag he had for foreigners.

When I got back to town, no place would let me watch their TV so I had to buy a meal in a restaurant to get them to switch the TV on. The footage was there on loop on the news. Loads of locals gathered round me. They were celebrating wildly...

It was then I realised the impact America had in the '70's on Cambodia. There are still American land mines everywhere in Cambodia. All because they wanted to stay out of the Viet Nam war and didn't want to favour either side. The land mines are still active. Kids still get arms, legs, their lives blown away. The Cambodians were happy and it sunk in why.

Belive it or not, I was on an aeroplane bound for Ukraine with the band. When we landed in Kiev a few Asian passangers in front of us were having a hard time and though nothing of it. We were on a British Council tour and were due to play a number of gigs in Kiev and then tour south to Donetsk. When we got to the hotel, the tv was in Ukrainian or Russian and did not bother, but the drummer sat and watched and told us the news. As a result the British Council thought it best, that as a sign of respect to the American Embassy (next door)tour should be cancelled! As a result we got a week in Kiev on the beer (40p a pint at the time) and vodka (50p a bottle)
You can guess the result!! :P
