To be honest mate, I was convinced we were going to win.

I was stunned at how people in Cardiff were expecting a 4 or 5-0 doing. Had this been a big side coming for a FA Cup tie everyone would have been up for it and talking of a giantkilling. Yesterday was something new and an opportunity to treat the first home game against a big side as an FA Cup tie.

I was bemused reading people bum up City and their performance against Newcastle. The Toom turned up having written the game off. They showed no urgency and on some cases no interest. The game was pedestrian and City bagged a few goals but Newcastle made them look like world beaters.

I knew if we closed them down and pressurised them at the back with the pace we have available then there was a chance we could win and I covered a few bets such was my confidence.

Is there anyone on here who believes we can get something out of the game on Sunday ?

not for me carl......damage limitation is all we can hope for.

My sentiment as well.

The next game is all important to me. Lets hope we bounce back and not lull on the damage to the start of the season.

Why? Because we didn't predict a huge PL upset!?

Thats ridiculous, we all just wanted damage limitation, or a draw at the absolute most, and thats if they had a bad day.

Nobody expected us to win which made it all the more special, it wont be repeated when we play them at their ground, but its a bonus 3 points for us, and a day to be a proud city fan.

if we go in at HT level anything could happen 2nd half
