JUST BEEN BANNED FROM BU FACEBOOK SITE

I don't understand the way with which Bluebirds Unite conduct themselves. They claim freedom of speech and freedom of expression and yet a simple and reasonable post is deleted and the user banned.

They always talk of a dicatorship and people have had they're opinions suppressed and yet they act in the manner shown above!

The Bluebirds Unite group is an unproffesional, hypocritical organisation (and I would hesitate to call them an organisation) that needs to change it's ways in order to get anywhere.

AS A DISCLAIMER: The only reason I have posted this here is because I can't post on the Bluebirds Unite site anymore.

The club I have supported for 48 years is Cardiff City Football Club but it appears that whoever designed the advertisement for this "Celebration" is intent on rebranding our club. Only the person who created this advertisement will know if this statement was made either by design or in error. And that begs the question - Was this advertisement proof read In my opinion obviously not and that is the problem with control within this group.

You only have to read the "Official" statement on thier Facebook page to realise the leaders of this group have no wish to "debate" the issues and the ethos is clearly "My Way Or The Highway".

I really wonder what they mean by their "Celebration" march setting the scene for the season, what exactly does that mean.

I thought this group had a chance or organising an effective voice for maintaining our traditional colours but I realised quickly that this group need to be avoided like the plague.I think this group will quickly be reduced to an organisation about as effective as the "Peoples Front Of Judea" and you can imagine thier meetings asking the question "What has VT done for Us?". Well he paid the tax man.

The real celebration this season will be watching our team compete in the top tier for the first time in over 50 years and what's really important is that as fans we "Affect what we can Affect" .

That's supporting the manager and the team 100%.

If people stopped unreasomably slagging them off, then maybe some calmness could be restored, both to the B.U site, and here.

And incidently, what I read from some on this board is far, far worse than anything I've read on the B.U facebook page.

Nope, would never generalise. The problem is some of its more prominent members doing this, or being antagonistic when they need to rise above that to be seen ask better.

In fact it's the opposite, any time the BU is seen to make divisions between people, it fails the cause.

Well Barry I hadn't realised VT had "Totally" rebranded the club Yes he has changed the colour of the "Home" playing strip but the club remains Cardiff City Football Club. On that single point any claim of a "Total" rebrand is lost.

I don't think I said I was angry about a poster that says Cardiff City Bluebirds just that I believe that represents rebranding the club by changing it's name. The same name that club has been identified with by over 100 years, it's traditional name and the one I have known throughout the 48 years I have supported the club.

That's easier to dismiss while looking at a computer screen, a bit harder when watching your club represent MINE and YOUR club.

Fine if that's how you see things it's your opinion and your entitled to it. My opinion is that the name Cardiff City Football Club is the No1 form of identification that I identify the club with.

That's the beauty of life isn't it, maybe even the "mystery", that people can have different opinions and it would be a boring world if we all thought the same way wouldn't it.

By the way the colour I identify our club with is "Blue" and I cannot see a time when that will change, however right now our owners has changed that and being pragmatic I know I cannot do anything about that so I will continue to do the one thing I can affect.

Total would mean everything surely, and as castle Blue points out, it's far off being total, in truth it's a change of home shirts.

The badge has changed many times and the rebrand word never used, the stadium has moved and no mention of rebrand.
We are still Cardiff City, we are still the Bluebirds, we still play in Cardiff and we still have the Bluebird on our badge, so hardly total is it.

But your opinion that colours aren't too important is massively in the minority and regarded uncredible within european football. Because very few clubs have ever changed kit, the reason being that identity is regarded as too important or valuable to be interfered with. Unless you're a glory supporter, not suggesting you are, but our club is now infested with them
