It's not that black and white ....

I just really don't understand why though we can't just show our identity on mass and be strong with our BLUE, because that is our true identity. We can stupidly all support our team

The last I heard our home strip is red! Mind you I live near Bournemouth and news filters slowly down here. Have we changed colour again?

Because I hate the rebrand from blue to red and still don't understand it. When I see people wearing that red mess of a shirt I consider them to be in support of the rebrand and strengthening Tans stance on it. I don't abuse anyone for wearing red and respect that it's everyones right to wear what they want. Just hate rebrand and it disappoints me to see so many people on board with it as it won't help us get our blue kit or badge back anytime soon! :(

I suppose you say that to all those who sing about "shitting on the English side of the bridge" & Joe Allen's dad being Jimmy Saviole?

Always be blue is far more supportive than those two chants.

Makes my blood boil seeing fans label fans who wear red as newbie plastics. There were fans there today who have been down the City for years and they were wearing red. Fans just want to support their team and what better way to do it than to wear the same shirt as their team. We're not going back to blue anytime soon, the sooner the likes of BU accept that fact the better, there's nothing they can do to change VTs mind, so they should shut up and get behind the team.
I personally haven't bought any red merchandise since the rebrand, but the likes of BU make me feel like buying a red shirt as a sort of F... You statement to them!

This statement really gets me "I don't understand the reason for the rebrand from Blue to Red"

From day one of the rebrand VT has stated the reason for the rebrand was to boost our marketability in the Far East. Unfortunately he also said jokingly it was more "lucky"

But amazingly you see post after post stating there is 'no reason' for the rebrand or its because VT thinks it is 'lucky. That's plain bollocks he has always stated the rebrand is for marketing reasons.

I personally hate seeing us play in 'red' and would much prefer 'blue' but a return to our traditional colours isn't going to happen on VT's watch, especially as he is going to eventually fork out £100m for the privilege.

Of course that doesn't mean I have to wear 'red' and I don't, but if others want to then that's their choice. So don't claim there are 'no reasons' or 'don't understand the reasons' because the 'reasons' are blatantly obvious.

Fair point there but don't you ever ask yourself WHY Tan didn't take over a team that already played in red?
That way, he could of done all the marketing in the far east he wanted to without harming the fans in any shape or form 8-)

Blue or red, those 2 chants are far worse than that, yet I don't see anyone moaning about them? That doesn't fit with their agenda, see.

oh I see f**k BU. Its this sort of action that will kill off any hope of us returning to blue.

While your mates are buying red then they are embracing the regime. Any news investor will then see there is no desire for the blue. As much as you criticise BU at least they are making a stand for the blue which hopefully will be noticed by any new investor.

You go ahead and buy your red shirt and wear it with pride but don't come running and crying when some new possible saviour comes along and continues the red revolution.

Fair comment, but please understand that we have one common denominator.......and that's Cardiff City FC.

Whether we like it or not, we now play at home in a red shirt. That may change in the future but as it stands we play our home games in red.

I used to buy every home kit but haven't for the last 5 years when I relinquished my season ticket due to moving out of Wales.

I'm lucky to have a season ticket this year and at the Man City game I will be buying the home shirt which is obviously red. Not because I am anti blue or anti BU but because the club I love and cherish so dearly happen to play in that colour.

But essentially you are correct.........each to their own, on the proviso that we all support our club.

Re: Sea of red in the Grandstand

How can you have an opinion on a sea of red if you weren't there. I was there, I love the red, red red red red red red red red.history is history, until you own the club respect the colours we play in. Your a fan, not inside the club and if someone as passionate as bellers will wear red, (who doesn't need the money) then what more passionate argument than running your heart out for the club can you offer......let me guess ( I was stood on a rain swept terrace drinking bow n 84 season) how passionate. The club has moved on and trying to drag it back is pissing the majority off. It's time to takeour club to the next level irrespective of colour.

Strangely it was blindingly obvious why he wanted us over another side who played in red. The Welsh Dragon is the second piece of the marketing jigsaw so his only other option would have been Wrexham, who wouldn't have had the appeal of the capital city club.

Where have I had an opinion on a "sea of red"? Please quote me, as I haven't tried to claim anything at all. All I've stated is my dislike for the red shirt.

Please read my posts correctly in future, before you incorrectly choose to be critical of me.

No, I wasn't drinking bow in the 84 season, though that's totally irrelevant. I've not known any club change its colour to "drag itself into the new level". Who knew blue was so restrictive? Somebody should tell Chelsea & Manchester City.
