I do believe there is a line where you need to invest in certain quality to survive. In the premier that line has been quite low over the last couple of seasons and this is why the Jacks have survived quite comfortable. They have just been very clever in what they have invested in just like WBA.

This season it looks like they have broken their policy of investment and gone for the higher quality player like Bony M. This is mainly through the pressure from Laudrup. Will this bit of extra pay dividends? Only time will tell for them.

i agree with this.you do need a certain amount of quality though the prem has dropped a bit.maybe laudrup has forced huws hand but it still isn,t reckless spending.also say if huw says a manager can have a percentage of takings to play with each year the jacks are in the prem each year the income is rising. they will hit a ceiling, same as the albion.then it,s to be hoped the fans realise that without being reckless this is were they can sit comfortably at.older ones will.the younger ones who have only known realative success might get a bit restless though.tbh i havn,t heard a older jack on here say they are going to rival man utd club size wise.they just seem happy to be where they are and appreciate these good times cos they went through enough bad times.as a club they seem to have a togetherness though.that is priceless

amat did do stuff that he didnt beed to do.i think chico will have that shirt back no prob.i know malmo were finished but what i liked was the way the subs dropped in and it all flowed as normal.top 10 again i think unless a euro run makes them take their eye of the prem a bit but i see em safe by feb anyway.

No chance of them going down Jeff, as much as I would like that, youve got to give credit where its due sometimes and they are a decent side, who have strengthened well.

We should just concentrate on surviving and buliding ourselves and forget about trying to catch them this season.

Lets walk before we can run. :D

exactly .i believe you can stay up .all efforts into that is what required.staying up is important for you as a club.i wonder what style mm will use or if he will vary it?.swansea could lose a manager and still continue pretty much as normal.amazing how they set it up like that.

All stems from Martinez mate. I watched that documentary the other night and Huw Jenkins and their vice chairman (Some annoying giggly c**t, his name escapes me) pretty much said that philosophy was all down to Martinez and thats the way they will always go now.

Should be given more credit from the ungrateful Jack Bastards than he actually gets. Seems Rodgers is held in higher esteem by the fans but watching that documentary its Martinez should be the one given the credit.

Swans fans do give Martinez and Huw all the credit, we all know it was down to them, they got the ball rolling. But Martinez sucked a lot of people in by saying hed have to be kicked out to leave etc and then taking our players etc.

But the sensible ones know thats just football, happens all the time and will continue to happen. Roberto was the best thing ti happen to the club for decades,

martinez seems to have left a stamp.rodgers did well.i think the jacks prob had the right man for the first prem season.now its different .jenkins deserves huge credit.
