The reality is they had nothing to play for after the cup win, they were sitting pretty in the top 10 and already qualified for Europe. The irony is they finished 9th which was the same position they were in before the apparent bad run.

If that is even remotely true, then that smacks of a total lack of professionalism and respect for (a) the league they are in, and (b) their fans

No surprise there (their ignorant fans wouldn't realise, of course ;) ) but wouldn't happen under Malky :malky:

Can't see them getting relegated in Laudrup's last season down The Mumbles (it's common knowledge he wanted 'out' this season but was persuaded to stay for one more ;) ) but they won't do as well as they think they will ;)

As for our chances?

Well, I'll grow more confident with every signing knowing Malky will turn no stone unturned in his quest. For this season we have no-one to worry about except ourselves ;)

The Jacks?

Hmmm, they have set themselves up as (quote: "The British Barcelona") and that just might (I sincerely hope ;) ) come back to haunt them :thumbright:

What nonsense

Its human nature to take the foot off the gas, and if you werent so blinded you will see our form also dipped dramtically when it looked like promotion was in the bag. So your "it would never happen under malky" nonsense is just that, nonsense.

But far too many winks in your posts. Are you joking or is that really your opinion?

Sorry, mate. Gone fishing...

However, are you saying Cardiff weren't 'trying' or was it simply a case of 'tension' crossing the finishing line? Cardiff certainly didn't take their foot of the gas IMHO

Swansea, however, were way off the mark after Wembley and (as stated) IF it was how YOU said, I would find that incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful :ayatollah:

I told you he wanted out months ago, Jack, and the stories persist. Only yesterday one of your own journo's was on radio stating that he believed ML was 'persuaded' to stay this year but he felt would be off to pastures new for 2014/15 ;)

Why would I be on Crack? I'm simply stating what you all know was happening behind the scenes. There has never been a categoric denial because that would be an untruth and neither ML or Huw are prone to do that (they leave that to their supporters who are so devoid of entertainment they have to hi-jack other clubs forums for their perverted kicks)

All true, I'm afraid

Give it up, waddle. Some things are simply unequivocal facts and you'd be better saving your rival-club fascinations for another day...

FACT: Your manager (or at least his Agent) was actively looking to get out of Swansea (PROVE me wrong)

FACT: Our club were chasing the glory of winning The Championship and it is reasonable to expect a few 'blips' along the way (but evidently not as many as the 23 clubs that finished BEHIND us!

FACT: Your team certainly deteriorated after Wembley and no matter what the reason was (gave up or found out) they short changed you and your fellow rugby-deserting supporters

The latter of those is the bit I would find hard to swallow and I know Malky would not have allowed it to happen. It's called integrity and I'll leave why I think your club has a lot of catching up to do in that quarter for another time ;)

Have a nice weekend :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Because I somehow doubt we'll be chasing down the Premier League title and we'll have better players with which to consolidate our position in Year 1 before moving onwards and forwards in greater strides than even you have (to date) creditably managed to do. Tan and Malky will expect nothing less :ayatollah:

I doubt some of those big european clubs have ever heard of cardiff let a lone the fat jock malky macky or whatever his name is. Your in our shadow and always will be deal with it ffs, and you say swansea deteriorated after our historic wembley win  look at some of the teams that we played spurs man utd man city chelsea lets see how the reddragons get on against these teams

First time you ever talked sense....Look at Wigan, in the
Premiership for 8 years, they got relegated last season, those 8 years no longer mattered!
Southampton in their first season back up there finished 14th, safe as houses.
There's a lot of arrogance comeing from out west about Oh We've Seen It Done It Before -
So had Wigan. If we get the right signings in now then lets have a look at who's who on
opening day. My genuine opinion of Shelvey is that he is a failed Premiership player and
the Spaniards you have signed are just journeymen. We shall see. We havent finished in
the transfer market by a long chalk yet

No it didnt. They averaged a point a game 18 from 18. It would have seen them 17th and the exact goal we are aiming for this season.

I don't think the last 18 games counts as end of season! Form tables tend to take in the last 6 games don't they? Before you go on I'm not saying you jacks were bottom of the form table either - I have no idea.

Worth noting that you jacks took 23pts from the last 23 games, not the kind of form you would think considering the boasting that goes on here all too often

We had the cigars out from the end of February though as you know, yet had accumulated enough points over the preceding games to ensure a top 9 finish.

But it all means very little for the forthcoming season. Personally I'm delighted with the transfer business we've done and there is no doubt this is a much stronger squad than we had last year.

What, the 6 games where 3 of them involved Man united, Man city and Chelsea you mean? They got 4 points from their last 6 games which is probably an amount they would get at any point in the season when playing the top 3 in a set of 6 games.

The last 23 games takes you back to the beginning of December so that's a lot of cigars! It was more to highlight the fact that despite some on here claiming otherwise you didn't exactly tear the PL up. Agree though its in the past and with new players across all teams who knows how it will all pan out. What's certain though is that its going to be a tough season :ayatollah:

Irrelevant. Form tables don't give weighting according to who you play now do they? Besides i'm not interested in where you were in the form table, just pointing out that it wouldn't be based on the last 18 games

And the last 38 games sees us accumulating more points than 11 other PL teams. 38 is all that matters in the big scheme of things rather than an arbitrary number.

We've addressed our biggest problem of last season, particularly the second half of the season, which was the lack of a recognised striker.

I'm confident and would be delighted with a top 12 finish this season.

Then thats stupid to only take into consideration a block of 6 games that include all the top 3 isnt it. Thats not form, thats just losing games they are expected to lose. And as a block of 6 games with the top 3 in there - 4 points is not all that bad at all and a tally many here would take right now if offered.

The topic was end of season form and form is judged on the last x number of games. I asked if it was 6, it could be 8, but I certainly know they aren't made up of 18 games, you arse

You're boring me know

Yes it was so clear that you responded with 18 pts from the last 18 games. I don't think you played 18 games since the cup win now did you? I smell a huge contradiction :laughing6:

I suggest you read the thread properly and remember why you've posted

Lordy lord

I said 18 points from 18 games as its a number YOU plucked out of the air on a similar thread a few days ago you whopper

Anyway. Since feb 24th (the cup win), the following teams earned the following points.

Swansea - 9pts
WBA - 9pts
Stoke - 8 pts
QPR - 8 pts
Reading - 5pts

So they would have been fine.

Sorry just realised your edit. What difference does it make what I said on another thread? You just posted that it was clear the topic was about form size the cup win, yet had quoted 18pts from 18 games. I wasn't in the thread at this point and besides its not some stat i made up it's readily known FACT. In trying to be a smartarse you contradicted yourself and looked a right tw*t :laughing6:

You trying to squirm your way out of it is simply desperate and embarrassing

Squirm? Thats the go to soundbite of a man digging his way out of a hole desperately

I quoted you because i couldnt be arsed to count exactly. You said 6 games for no reason, then 8 games and then it was revealed that it was you who also plucked 18 games out of the air

The FACT is. Since the cup win (which is the point in hand) their form was enough in relation to other clubs to put them in a comfortable 15-16th place. Unlucky, selective stats make you look like a bit of knobber really dont they, glad I was here to point it out :laughing6:
