Worth a punt for the golden boot?

No.

Michu wasn't that far behind last season and he was an attacking midfielder.I don't think it'll happen personally but he's sure got some pedigree so who knows.

Paddy Power got him 50/1 which is the same as jelavic! I must admit I think he will do a lot better than the odds suggest but can't see anywhere near the top scorer. Unproven at this level but you never know.

50's is a crazy price for the current Dutch player of the year and league top scorer.Got to be worth a cheeky pound or two,

only if you are prepared to lose a pound or two. And equally sure that Michu won't score as many as last season.

They were.

There is one fan on there that pushes every Danish player in the hope we one day sign one. One such player was conrnelius to which the other Danes said he's far too inexperienced for the premier league and not good enough for us. He then moved on to Okore. :thumbright:

So then they must this he's a good signing.

I've never seen him before can't say either way. The Danes I've seen in planetswans don't seem to think so though.

Yes there is a lot of Danes on there. And I'm sure the "can't stop praising him" is an incredible overstatement on your part. Some probably do think he's good, some don't.

Why have you turned I to one of those posters that put loads of meaning, was laughing smileys in every post you make?

But yes anyway, as I've said, I've never seen him.

Bit of a turn around from "only 1 of them rates him" eh?

Not an overstatement, take a look for yourself. He's posted in this very thread. Good to hear that some Swansea supporters feel that they'd like him at Swansea though.

No turn around, ive only seen one praise him and hes someone tht pushes every dane on us. the other ones told him his suggestion was rubbish. If Bysedd has seen something different then great.

Ive not seen many Swans say they would like Cornelius. in fact ive personally seen none at all.

You dont half talk crap, i'd never heard of this guy before he signed for cardiff as most swans fans would admit so i could not of been impressed by him, also were you the swans fan who said on this forum that Laudrup would not be swansea's manager next season, something like he will be gone within two weeks when the roumours were doing the rounds and i told you its rubbish but you would not belive me.

I think he said he hoped Laudrup would feck off, one of them did anyway at the time of the row with Huw and Laudrups agent.....

I'd have liked Cornelius for £4 or £5 million, he is a good signing for you as he's suited to your style of play and will do well. Too much of a gamble at the price you paid for him though in my opinion.

Bony's work permit will be sorted, he qualifies for it but with you and ourselves it will take longer than most to sort this out as we need to get it granted for FIFA and UEFA as well as the Welsh, English and Dutch FA's.

Barry you seem to have become more and more angry over the last week or so. you used to be such a placid level headed fella. you are more like Barnett these days, constantly goading and pointlessly looking for conflict where there isn't any.

Can we have the old Barry back?

Agreed, we probably paid a little too much, but I'd say the same about Bony.

Possibly, but we weren't going to be able to bring in anyone of a similar quality to him if we didn't pay the extra £2 million up front and I'm not too fussed about spending £12 million on a player if his wages are only £40-45k a week.

Re: Jacks Bony has work permit problems

Sun Jul 21, 2013 8:34 am

All depends what your budgets are and how many players you need.

At the time of signing Bony we arguably only needed him to fill the full quota of required players. Where as if we were newly promoted then we would need to strengthen in other areas too. Its the beauty of becoming somewhat established, each year you can spend all your budget on 1 or 2 class players instead of 7 or 8 decent prem players. I think we overpaid by £2m too, but for a striker that has 37 goals in 36 and keeps Drogba out of the Ivory Coast set up - we can deal with that.

Sun Jul 21, 2013 8:35 am

Bear in mind re: 50/1 that if you do anything in the europa league and are okay in the league then bony probably wont get close to starting all the prem games. depends where you focus lies really

Who knows, i hope he will score a lot of goals, but you never know big and strong something Swansea haven't had up front for a long time. :thumbright:
