Vincent tan message to disruptive and ungrateful fans

Once again Tan has started the Rebrand debate up, everyone keeps saying moving on, had enough of topics on it etc etc then a few months later Tan opens it all up again.

There has been no disruptive fans, no abuse,no threats, no matches have ever been effected by it etc.

Yes some fans don't like it, some more than others, some despise it like myself, but we should be allowed our opinions and beliefs, I continue to support my team but not the Regime and the Striping of Our Identity and I should be Respected for it that's how I feel and I will never ever change, I have never abused Tan or heard of anyone else doing this.

What Tan keeps doing is dividing our fans.

from an outsiders view I think that the 5% is an underestimation anyway.. every ccfc fan ive spoken to hates the red.. (and I do a lot of work in Cardiff so its quite a few)

You cant take forums like this as a census of how the majority of supporters feel about a subuct, what you normally find is that the more extreme and vocal fans frequent these places, but the ordinary fan rarely comes near..

If there was proper survey I think that the majority are against what Vinnie has done, but given the reality of the situation will put up with it..

Outspoken Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan has urged fans to get behind him and the club ahead of their debut Premier League season, warnig: "If too many of them show we are not welcome, maybe you will have a new owner".

Tan's comments, some of which can be viewed in the video above, came during a eye-opening press conference at the University of South Wales when he also revealed a deal with Sam Hammam to settle the Langston debt is just 'days away'.

The Malaysian billionaire admitted he had been forced to invest more money in the Bluebirds than he had initially planned, and he called for supporters not to be 'negative and disruptive'.

Some fans are still angry at Tan's controversial decision to change the club's colours from blue to red a year ago - a move which led to protests and some disgruntled supporters walking away from the club.

Tan said he currently feels welcome at Cardiff but added: "Yes, I am surprised there are fans against the colour. I'm actually quite disappointed with that.

"After all, for me to invest so much into the club that several times could have gone bust and had financial trouble and a big court case with the former owner....I was willing to invest and put in a lot of money

"Combined with getting into the Premier League...we spent £15m last season to buy players and we went up. That’s how we got up.

"I'm disappointed that after 51 years of not being in the top-flight that there are still some fans who don't think we have done a good job.

"I may say maybe they are not grateful so that part is disappointing.

"But like anything in life in democracy you won't have 100 per cent support.

"We have to think that those against us are about five per cent. We will try to live with that but it is disappointing."

I have posted previously that i and most other fans are grateful for the investment that Vincent Tan made and after 40 plus years of supporting City i will god willing finally see my Club play in the Premiership. However I am a Bluebird through and through and like many other fans and far more than the 5% Tan quotes the colour blue and the Bluebirds badge are close to my heart.

Also like many others I will continue to support My Club never mind what colour we play in but Tan talks about respect without showing any respect for our traditions and loyal support who were there long before he came to the Club. All he had to do was compromise and give us a kit which was a fusion of Blue and Red thus mixing the colour of our traditional shirt with the colour of our native country this coupled with the Bluebird far more predominate on a new badge would probably have appeased the majority of fans but it seems he doesn't do compromise!

So thanks for your investment but please respect our Club, tradition and Colours and don't threaten us because us supporters will be there long after you have gone

It will be very interesting if BU do reach the heights that will seriously worry Tans reputation.

Don't be surprised it Tan carries on his "business plan" he needs to do that to recoup back anything. However it will be an uncomfortable time for him which is a real shame as it could have been avoided.
