For goodness sake Truthteller, you're like a demented dog with a bone. Give it up. Daft idea. I want to watch my team at the CCS - End of!

Get Vinny to buy the bloody Mill Stad along with some of his oriental buddies.
Kick the egg out and offer them the CCS.
Play all our games in one of the best stadia in the UK.
No problem getting a ticket. Everyone would be happy. Except maybe TLG.
CCS is no Ninian so no difference or love loss for me.
Love to see City play infront of 60-70 thousand.

yours is the first post i read. and its the correct one :ayatollah:

To lay some of this talk to rest...

WRU would charge a rental for the stadium. This would be a one of fee which covers putting the event on (stewarding, programme sellers, etc).

Ticket sales would be kept by Cardiff City. Food would be an easy one as Levy's operate the catering at the Mill Stad and Cardiff City. Merchandise would be operated by stadium, with a cut of around 10-20% for venue/WRU. Hospitality would make nothing for the club.. Would be completely managed by WRU.

However, it's a complete non starter whatever way you look at it. Current Pitch cycle means that there just isn't the time to do it. The playing surface needs 6 weeks to bed in for each set of game, which rules out late September to March.

End of conversation really. Financially a full stadium would absolutely massively increase revenue for Cardiff City. But it just cannot happen!

we can only get in 27500 until the stadium increases to 38000 in a few years.

us v swans - 70,000(42500)
us v man utd 60,000(32500)
us v Liverpool 50,000(22500)
us v man city 50,000(22500)
us v chelski 40,000(12500)
us v arsenal 40,000(12500)
these are guesstimates

but in just these 6 games that's 145,000 extra match tickets sold (plus beer/food/programmes)

The league will only allow clubs to change venues in exceptional circumstances. And exceptional circumstances are not sell out crowds.

If you had posted 70000 attendances for all those games I'd be sure you were a jack on a wind up. The fact that you haven't means you are seriously deluded! :laughing6:
Do you really think that Swansea are that much of an attraction to attract more or less the same gate as Arsenal and Chelsea combined! :laughing6: 10000 more than Man Utd! :laughing6: 20000 more than Liverpool! :laughing6: Listen mate. Apart from the few thousand who support clubs through thick and thin, very few give a toss about the South Wales derby and at tops you would get 40000 and thats if there were 10000 of us there! :laughing6: And that my friend is a fact! ;)

cant believe this thread has got to 3 pages!

most ridiculous post ive read since " the picking up of vt from heathrow"

I find it funny you even think that we would get 70,000 against Swansea. No chance.

You would probably get 50,000 maximum, and that would be for United, and most of them would be because of United.

Why accommodate plastic fans, everyone has had opportunity to purchase season tickets, unnafordability is no excuse hence 10 payments. If we go down who would be calling for matches away from the ccs against the likes of yeovil, Bournemouth( no disrespect). So ffs end this thread and grow up

Cardiff City to play at the Millenium?
It's not a Cup Final ffs .... we've earned the right to play in the PL at our ground. What do you want to do .. open up the Millenium and fill it full of plastics?

The OP is 100% right. Why is Tan wasting money changing seats to red and extending when we can use the MS for short term gain? The stadium has a roof for winter months and is central which equals more pubs and a better experience and more away fans will spend.

The only ones having a problem I can see are the local police who will have a tougher job.

Drop ticket prices by a lot and you can undercut loads of teams in the country and gain the attention of the media for following the german pricing structure and setting a precedent here.

50,000 * 200 = 25,000 * 400 and i'm sure most fans would rather a much cheaper season ticket and better value for money. 19 Premier League games for £200 is a reality in the Millennium Stadium.

Now we've realised Premier League status and have a waiting list in our first year which will increase if we stay up and spend again in the next window, we should capitalise on it. Do the sums, check the numbers and it makes purpose sense.

Fans dont go to Wales game there because Wales are to put it bluntly shit and depressing to watch unless Bale does his stuff and loads of fans have lost total faith in the FAW. When you offer them Premier League football for £12 and £6 for children they will go. Thats prices not far off the cinema......I think most young lads would rather see the likes of Rooney, Bale and our key players than go to the cinema...its the price that often is the barrier for working class families.

The Millennium Stadium is such a waste at the moment for most of the time.

Tan may just like it coz the seats are red

I wouldn't mind the Swansea home and away game there would be a cracking day out in my eyes. Imagine the atmosphere if we could get in bubbling out of the roof ! Would cost 10 mil to police tho haha

Not a chance in hell i would want to play there.......i take it you haven't got a season ticket and have decided to try and jump on board now we are playing bigger teams than Peterborough,

I am all for new fans watching our club as its the future but some people haven't a clue at times.
