As reluctant as us Bluebirds are, we sort of had to appreciate what they achieved and how well it was done after what they endured not too long ago

But has that changed since they had to start looking over their shoulder at what is happening a few miles east along the M4 corridor?

It seems to me that Swansea are all too well aware of the threat from their capital city club coming to steal their mantle as Wales highest placed club (note I didn't say No.1 club because that will NEVER be true ;) ) and have started to move away from their miserly past

For me, it is obvious. Swansea are well 'put out' by Cardiff's rise to the Premier League and Huw the Miser is desperate to react to the 'plans' both Malky and Vincent Tan have for us. They reecntly came (literally) within hours of losing their manager and have now started spending unprecedented money just to appease him

Can't fault them for that; but it doesn't quite fit the profile, does it? ;) :ayatollah:

That's the biggest pile of shit I think I've ever read on this MB.

You seriously think Swansea are only spending money out of a fear of us overtaking them??

I suppose it's nothing to do with the extra £30m they'll be getting this season??

Clueless FFS

I do, fella...and I also (genuinely) believe your ex-rugby sycophants are in denial if they GENUINELY believe that Laudrup wasn't on his way out of The Library Stadium if Huw hadn't yielded to certain demands

Say what you like (and unfortunately you are thick enough to believe your own hype  ) your team are on an unSwansea-like unprecedented spending spree that has (in part) been fuelled by Cardiff City's promotion to the Premier League ;)

I'm not saying we are going to finish above you THIS YEAR but we are on a mission and you just KNOW it is happening ;)

Say what you like. It's all sticks and stones, fella. But one of us is right and it certainly ain't you ;)

Christ you can tell it's nearly half term

Laudrup has stated nowhere that he was going to leave, he said that clubs were interested in him and it was always his intention to stay here. He made a promise to the players. Read the western fail or the evening post articles with the interview and you will see that at no point did he say he wanted to leave.

Regardless of Cardiff going up, Swansea were always going to spend. You have to improve your squad by at least 10% every season to be competitive in this division. Also regardless of the myth you are spouting about keeping Laudrup by spending, what a load of crap. Laudrup knew from day one how this club operates and is fully aware of what we can and cannot spend.

We made a great profit, our chairman trusts our manager and gave him the reigns to spend not to keep him but to improve our squad which was really lacking a top striker. He's done that.
