When the rebrand first happened TLG thought he was going to be the saviour of our identity and everyone would follow him and protest against Vincent Tan and they didn't so he's thrown his toys out of the pram and quit following the club he's followed for 37 years :o

Those who give up smoking, drinking and the like.

A pain in the arse.

Did you know that in 1969 George Best gave up women & booze?

He later said it was the longest 20 minutes of his life.

I can. For a start, Tan doesn't own the club.

This is the relevant point i was making earlier. If VT's share holding is 49%, then surely the other 51% shareholders could have vetoed the whole re-branding? Or at the very least have some form of an input or compromise into it??

Unless, of course,,the other 51% want to cash in their shares in the near future??? :?

OK. You should complain to wikipedia as they disagree with you. It states Tan is the owner of Cardiff City FC!

Tan's shareholding was approximately 35% the last time the relevant documents were filed at Companies House.

The shareholders had no say in the re-branding. That was passed by the board, which is largely made of up of Tan's yes-men.

I could edit Wikipedia today and state that Gwyn Davies owns the club. That wouldn't make it true.

I absolutely agree Rick. @ the end of the day CCFC is a business not an institution which has to make it's own way in the world.

However VT is providing the funds he is still responsible for millions of £'s worth of investment so obviously he calls the shots. Frankly anyone who thinks he should hold a vote on his every decision is deluding themselves.

The Board are the day to day representatives of the shareholders. If the shareholders are against what the board are doing i.e. the rebrand then the Shareholders could call an EGM and sack them for a new board who can then reverse their actions.

In the case of CCFC I would imagine that was next to impossible because the vast majority of shareholders (% held not individually) would be in favour of the rebrand.

To my knowledge Nobody has ever suggested that VT govern by consensus on EVERY issue, this is certainly not the view of BU in the meetings i attended, where did you get that idea from?

Tesco is a business
Starbucks are a business
Apple is a business
Is your affinity with CCFC on a par with your favourite business?
