Some news on your so called expansion,mate of mine works in construction and knows the head guy who was on the build of your stadium and he told him that your council when given the different prices tendered chose the cheapest with the cheapest materials,now what that means as told by him is your structure cannot be extended on as it is, each stand would have to be taken down and rebuilt as the current structure is not strong enough to hold the extension because if the materials used due too your council going cheap.

Sorry mate, I work in Sports Sponsorship and you are way off the mark with this one. Swansea were actually showcased last season for underselling their shirt sponsorship in terms of the Premier League market. They have bought out the current sponsor early because they clocked onto this. They have overpaid for the year they owe to as compensation to the incumbent brand too.

It goes without saying that they have obviously done this because ultimately they can make more financially from the new brand but you shouldn't be heralding this development as some sort of substantial occurrence or investment. The Premier League sponsorship market is lucrative, and your hierarchy under sold last season.

Much more significant would be to talk about Cardiff City mulling over a completely digital stadium (which is what I am hearing), which would allow complete brand dominance for their partners to a TV audience of millions. It would allow the club to restructure their sponsorship portfolio substantially.

Well yes, that's hardly surprising is it? Ending a sponsorship early is always politically delicate for brand and rights holder. Swansea wouldn't come out directly and say 'We didn't do a good enough deal in the first place'. The brand would insist Swansea took decisive steps in preventing any rumours that they made the decision to ensure their public image remained intact.

Again, I am not saying that this isn't an increase in revenue... I am 100% confident it will be. However, I can guarantee that it won't be guaranteeing you Champions League football any time soon.

Of course the jacks never used ''sub-standard'' building materials. But there are huge differences between the stresses and strengths in structural steel. Put simply (i best had) Cardiff Citys ground was originally built to be added on to. So the strength of the steel structure and the design of the build was all taken into account, which is why Cardiff can build up. No such allowances were made at the Liberty. The council DID build it on the cheap. Thats doesnt mean it was built sub-standard, but it does mean that the original steels are not strong enough to just add weight to, and the piles are not deep enough anyway. I think this will all come to light over the coming months.

Are you sure its GWFX? Goldenway Investments. They are a small investment company with a shared office in London. They have an arm in Hong Kong and New Zealand but their portfolio is smaller than the individual wealth of some Premier League club owners.
