Not like this one :malky: stadium expansion will be payed for by these guys :malky:

Some news on your so called expansion, mate of mine works in construction and knows the head guy who was on the build of your stadium and he told him that your council when given the different prices tendered chose the cheapest with the cheapest materials, now what that means as told by him is your structure cannot be extended on as it is, each stand would have to be taken down and rebuilt as the current structure is not strong enough to hold the extension because if the materials used due too your council going cheap.

Have you ever heard of building up the stand from behind and attaching it on? You know, much like Man Utd did :thumbright:

No need to knock anything down.

Seen the original drawings have you?

Yes :thumbright:

Inthemixer wrote:Sorry mate, I work in Sports Sponsorship and you are way off the mark with this one. Swansea were actually showcased last season for underselling their shirt sponsorship in terms of the Premier League market. They have bought out the current sponsor early because they clocked onto this. They have overpaid for the year they owe to as compensation to the incumbent brand too.

It goes without saying that they have obviously done this because ultimately they can make more financially from the new brand but you shouldn't be heralding this development as some sort of substantial occurrence or investment. The Premier League sponsorship market is lucrative, and your hierarchy under sold last season.

Much more significant would be to talk about Cardiff City mulling over a completely digital stadium (which is what I am hearing), which would allow complete brand dominance for their partners to a TV audience of millions. It would allow the club to restructure their sponsorship portfolio substantially.

not my words but the words of the swans vice chairman

Well yes, that's hardly surprising is it? Ending a sponsorship early is always politically delicate for brand and rights holder. Swansea wouldn't come out directly and say 'We didn't do a good enough deal in the first place'. The brand would insist Swansea took decisive steps in preventing any rumours that they made the decision to ensure their public image remained intact.

Again, I am not saying that this isn't an increase in revenue... I am 100% confident it will be. However, I can guarantee that it won't be guaranteeing you Champions League football any time soon.

I can keep talking you through this if you wish...

You can talk all you want but your last post said to me you dont know what you are talking about, cos when the swans vice chairman made his comments about a major new sponsor, it had nothing to do with 32RED totally different times months apart.

Do you have any idea how long these deals take?

Of course the jacks never used ''sub-standard'' building materials. But there are huge differences between the stresses and strengths in structural steel. Put simply (i best had) Cardiff Citys ground was originally built to be added on to. So the strength of the steel structure and the design of the build was all taken into account, which is why Cardiff can build up. No such allowances were made at the Liberty. The council DID build it on the cheap. Thats doesnt mean it was built sub-standard, but it does mean that the original steels are not strong enough to just add weight to, and the piles are not deep enough anyway. I think this will all come to light over the coming months.

Another fool dont you think the people who run the swans and the people who run the liberty know what they are talking about of course the stadium cannot be expanded but never the less lets put in planning permission, and the liberty stadium can be expanded i cant belive some people are saying it cant be

Thick c**t. nobody is saying it CANT be. Can you not read. But the cost could well prove prohibitive. Jenkins needs backing and hang on - another season goes by with no extra seating - guess why not... hes gonna see how they get on in the Premiership over the next six months first

I think this maybe a business tie up and they will be looking for investors for Swansea and not investing themselves.

Yes i am sure, and no GWFX is not looking for investers for Swansea they themselfs are investing through sponsorship.

No, I don't know. However, I'm pretty sure its just a normal shirt sponsorship deal, why would it be anything larger than normal?

Re: looks like swansea have hit the jackpot again

Fri Jun 28, 2013 4:53 pm

It's £2 million a year, which I believe is at least double what 32red were giving us.

Did i say it was bigger than normal :? it is a lot more than what we were getting from 32RED so i don't think its an exaggeration to say the swans have hit the jackpot.

By the term "hitting the Jackpot" yes, you did.

It's a lot more than a championship sponsorship deal, well that's a given...

Hardly hitting the jackpot.

You are a f*cking retard and an embarrassment to the tidy jacks on here  This 'major sponsorship' deal which you claimed earlier in this thread which would fund your stadium expansion has turned out to be nothing more than a shirt sponsorship deal where you will earn double on what 32red were paying you (and that was f**k all), hardly 'hitting the jackpot' is it. Do us all a favour and stop embarrassing Welsh Wigan FC  :laughing5:

You can have more than 1 sponsor you know there will be a new sponsor for the stadium, and the stadium will then be called something else instead of the liberty. Watch this space
