A) I never said he was signing? Just that I was undecided on the speculation.

B) Yes, experience sure. Not like we don't have any experience in the squad though.

Just a little bit more info, hes on 2.85m euros per year (around 45-50,000 GPB per week) PLUS 17500 euros for every appearance, so 65,000 a week. Fenerbache aren't looking to offload him and he doesn't want to leave Turkey according to press reports (you can see why).

So even if you were to get this guy who most of you see as a squad player, you are going to have to come close to paying him 65 grand a week.

You'll be amazed to learn most players don't earn the same salary all through their careers

Incredible that eh?!

indeed, usually when they have come to the end of their contract not when their club wants them it changes. Hes on 65000 a week and happy. if you see him as a squad player then what would you expect to offer him? even if its 40000 its a ridiculous sum and one hed be crazy to accept.

what the coach that last week explained his decision to axe Sneijder as captain and Kuyt as vice captain you mean?

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... as-captain

Louis van Gaal has stressed that there is still a role for Wesley Sneijder despite making Robin van Persie the new Holland captain.

The Dutch boss has removed Sneijder as captain and Dirk Kuyt as vice-captain, replacing them with Van Persie and Arjen Robben, respectively.

The players in those roles can be guaranteed a call-up to the national team whenever available but that no longer applies for Sneijder and Kuyt.

"That's the rule I use for the captain and the vice-captain," Van Gaal told reporters. "But due to different circumstances that is no longer the deal for Sneijder and Kuyt.

"They have lost that privilege. The new captain is Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben will be it after him."

That's not my business. That's between Cardiff City and Dirk Kuyt. Something you won't have the first clue about. You've gone from him not being good enough to us not being able to afford him

You've got years of bitterness to follow where we're concerned. :laughing6:

Semantics Roathie. Semantics. He was vc until end of competitive season. Now its the off season.

Notice Van Gaal says hes super fit and sees him as a striker.

So age not a concern and hes better than Luke Moore.

Ill take the word of a legend of the game over an agoraphobic would be child killer.

Not semantics at all, his manager has stripped him of the role and is no longer guaranteed to even be in the squad.

Hes been a wide forward most of his career, certainly for the last decade. and no hes not better than Dyer or Hernandez.... or Michu if you want to count Kuyt as a striker as that's where we played Michu for the majority of last season.

My God you haven't resorted to picking up on typos already have you?

Dyer is better than Michael Laudrup too, and pele. They are old now. however you seem to be making the key error of believing Kuyt is the same player at 33 playing in the Turkish league.

Dyer is head and shoulders above Kuyt.
