Yes so we are told that Tan knows how to run a business.
Well if running a business losing £1.2 million a month is acceptable then even I could do that. For our business to work under the Tan model we needed to get to the premier. Tan NEEDED the premier more than we wanted it for his model to work. I really wish some people could see that.
Back to the question, blue in league 2 for me without a doubt.

Nice throw away line but there is nothing wrong with wanting the best for your club?
See what your attitude says to me is that YOU put your own SELFISH preferences (playing in blue) before the good of our club.
Strangely I totally admit to wanting success over failure for Cardiff City, yea says a lot about me doesn't it
You could argue that, but I think it's even more selfish to put success infront of Cardiff City's traditions/identity.
We all want success, but I wouldn't throw away over 100 years of tradition and identity for what could be short term success unlike some.

I'm aware of that and I think he actually meant the championship as he said Division 2. I'm just saying, as much as I'd love the blue back, I'd rather the financial stability to be sorted after all the shit we went through.

Misery? For the 20 years i have been going down to watch City the best days are Hartlepool away. barnet away etc. I watched the Shrewsbury game from 93 the other day and that had the hairs standing up on the back of my neck again. Not once have I felt like that this season. Give me my club shirt and badge back any day, in any league.
Cheers,
Lee. On the brink of departing.

I don't think it's too much to ask for both. And I see no reason at all why both cannot be achieved in the current situation.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, but given the circumstances where he practically blackmailed us, we should go along until we secure our financial dilemma.

Jon, this is just raising the opposite question but might it equally say a lot about the people it is claimed 'cannot move on' in order to secure our future in a rapidly changing environment where money is key?
Would you keep the same style of clothes, car, haircut, etc. just because you had them before and didn't like to 'let go' because you always had them?
It might be rhetorical but the principle is surely the same, eh?![]()

People change consistently in many different ways as they grow.
Football clubs don't. The only way in which football clubs should change is when the club are modernising such as changing stadium, changing badge etc. The rebrand wasn't an act of modernisation, just a colour preference to the owner. The colours of a club should never change, especially when the colour has been part of the club's identity for over 100 years.

You'll still be there next season. Bluebirds Unite, against modern football, yet 99% will still go and watch Cardiff City in the PL, arguably the birthplace of modern football.
Ain't half some self gratifying posters on here thinking they are better for caring more about identity. As already said, Wolves in L1 and fans are going nuts and upset. If you want to being that bad feeling back to Cardiff then fair enough but I'd rather the next generation getting behind a PL Cardiff City even in red.
My preference don't matter, I'll be dead in 40-50 years most likely. The club lives on. The club is bigger than any player, manager or fan. The problem over the years has been people trying to use the club to make a name for themselves and now people are doing the same over the kit colour
As for prostituting our identity Chuckles, you still go. You are supporting it financially. Anyone with an ounce of business knowledge would see that. It's like a drug user slating a dealer for spending his money in trafficking when they're actively supporting it by buying drugs and putting money in the dealers pocket. You are helping create profit and fund activities elsewhere.
If you hate the rebrand don't go. TLG don't go. That's not supporting Tan. Just set up a Tan out scheme and stop going. That aint going to happen though because the lure of PL football is too strong and matters more than identity to you. If you still go you are no different to someone else who goes, financially supporting the club and Tan who is keeping it afloat.
This is getting boring now. If you stopped going like TLG you would be taken more seriously. As it stands all it comes across is a minority trying to be heroes but deep down doing nothing.
Tan is willing to lose up to 25% of customers. If you still go, red or blue, you are still a customer. You're not making a stand against the rebrand if you still go. Tan deals with balance sheets and end of financial year reports.
He laughs off chants of blue and he knows locals will still wear blue hence still selling a blue kit. As long as locals keep buying tickets and merchandise, red or blue, Tan ain't going to care. A customer is a customer. Tans business model is not one that puts customer relations at its forefront. Surely that is not hard to ascertain from previous actions. All he will care about is money and he'll do what he wants to get it.

Wolves fans are angry and upset because they were relegated, just like any other fanbase would, that's part of football. But they still wouldn't want to change their identity for Premier League football. That "bad feeling" will always be here with me for as long as we are in red, I'd be a lot happier if we went back to blue than any success we achieve. I don't care what league we're in because I'll support the club through thick and thin.
You can't support the rebrand "financially". The only way in which you can support the rebrand is by wearing the red merchandise.
You say "if you hate the rebrand, don't go", what an ignorant thing to say. Like you said, a football club is bigger than any person, even Tan. I'm not going to stop supporting the club just because of one man.
Just because TLG doesn't go anymore, why does that mean we shouldn't either?Anyone who boycotts will never be taken seriously as their will always be people to replace them whilst we're in the Premier League. If you think that only a minority of people want blue back then you are deluded.
