Yes, no doubt that tone & body language etc is a BIG factor, but it's a big factor BOTH WAYS. Many are assuming that it's negative towards the BU administrator, with no actual evidence to back their claims up.

That's FAR more assuming that taking a person's account as factual.

As I said, taking someone's assumptions over a first person account would be "startling naivety", no?

Fair play you're hilarious. You throw around accusations of what was supposedly said by me but when challenged you can't support it. Why? because you made it up and assumed.

The hypocrisy within your posts is laughable.

It's a sunny day, my opinion is that you get out a bit and chill instead of trolling for arguments that often aren't even there

There were you? Or are you just assuming that on the basis of absolute f**k all?! :laughing6:

Hypocrisy? That's your speciality. Don't be so naive. :laughing5:

Think ill use the ignore option on this one.

Ignore would be convenient for you since I've ruined you. So you've assumed I'm not the butcher then, or that I wasn't in the queue behind?

"So much missing from this event" was a direct point relating to the tone and body language used in the conversation. I could call you an arrogant prick in a jovial manner and you would probably laugh it off. I could say the same in an aggressive manner with fists clenched and I'm sure you would read the situation a lot differently. But you wouldn't get that from reading the words on a page would you? I believe the stats are that approx 90% of communication is body language with the actual words playing a relatively small part.

I didn't say any party was right or wrong, merely pointed out that there was probably more to this than meets the eye. Why you had to take this and then make out I was somehow taking sides I don't know. Feeling vulnerable I suppose. But hey you believe what's written down as the complete story. Any views on the bible? Statements from people protecting innocence only to be found guilty in court? Lance Armstrong? Fairy tales? The Sun newspaper?

Gullible, naive, foolish? I think you're a mixture of all three :laughing6:

Just where was I wrong? Wrong about what exactly? Back it up then or as I suspect you can't and so you run away tail between your legs. Pathetic little wum.

Chuckles I've read about half this thread until the point where I almost put my head in a noose, but your arguments are pathetic mate. You say that other peoples arguments are based on assumptions yet you come out with the line "we wasnt there so we'll just have to trust what that sian girl says!!!!"

We both know that when someone has an agenda they pretty put any slant they want to promote their cause.

You were, but I opened the message to see your pathetic response.

You make wild assumptions yourself, I could say the same about you.. but I cannot be arsed.

Wrong about being naive, your wild assumptions etc. You make some good points, but also make some wild assumptions - which is WRONG to do so.

So, are you saying that the person who WASN'T there should be believed above a person who was THERE and DIRECTLY involved in the conversation?

What utter rubbish!

You are right, there could be a slant on it, but there MIGHT NOT be too. To say there was for sure is naive and wrong, as you weren't there.

All that's being said is that there may be more to it than what's been written but he seems intent on believing every word to the letter. Dare to suggest otherwise and for some reason he gets very defensive and creates an argument by claiming people have said things they haven't. Weird.

To BELIEVE that something else has happened (like some have on this forum NOT CARPE, I might add) would be down right stupid! Seeing as those people were not even there!

However, I agree that there MAY have been something more to it... but to ASSUME that there was, as many have done here (again, not Carpe), is wrong.

Where did you get that brilliant piece of fiction? The bloke as a Cardiff fan obviously has heard about the petition (most have by now) and knows she's in charge of it, and also knows her in real life.

Also I wish people would stop seeing the rebrand issue as black and white. BU want blue back but don't necessarily want Tan to leave because he's got a shit ton of money. The point is to make Tan realise how much people care about it rather than forcing him out, that's the point.

Of course the pro-red argument (or excuse) for not wanting to get involved is that "Tan will never go back to blue". This is a made up way of saying "I want premier league football at any expense and am too lazy to fight for my club's identity". Unless you know the man personally you can't say that he'll never go back to blue. Everyone has their opinions and everyone's opinions can be swayed.

"It's just my opinion" isn't a sufficient way of defending your stance, because everyone's opinions are up for criticism and ridicule if they're that ridiculous in the first place. A lot of City fans lack the backbone to see this work and that's the problem in the first place.

Just read that Sian Branson (Founder of Bluebirds Unite) has fallen out with her butcher who refused to sign her petition. He said '60 years I've been watching them and I don't care if they play in pyjamas as long as we are in the premiership (i.e. Premier League)'.

But how far would you let Tan go in order for us to be successful on the pitch?
How much of your already limited power would you let him take?

Sian Branson
Think I’ve just fallen out with my butcher - Which is a shame as I love their pies lol
Convo goes like this:
Butcher- ‘Your petition is a stupid idea!’
Me- ‘Well 6,000 people in a week – don’t agree with you!’
Butcher – ‘ 60 years Ive been watching them and I don’t care if we play in Pyjamas as long as we’re in the premiership.’
Me- ‘ Being 30YOA makes it a little difficult to compete with your time as a city fan, but I love the club and believe our pride and identity should remain in place’
Butcher -’ But he he was right and it has taken us to the premiership.’
Me – ‘So you think that a change of kit and Badge got us promoted?’
Butcher- ‘ He invested 10 million!’
Me- ‘ Good for him, but what about the other 90 million he promised you and the clearing of debt with Langston?’
Butcher- ‘ Yes but what will you say when he does do all that?’
Me – ‘If and when he does, id say thank you very much, now back to our identity lol ‘
Butcher- ‘Ahhhhhh- Ridiculous, no need.’
Me – ‘ There is every need, to fight for our history, pride, culture and identity. This is the Capital City of Wales’ football club, would you sell Cardiff Castle to the highest bidder?’
He then sloped off out the back probably muttering what annoying lady I am

On the plus side the Taxi driver I met today – thinks BU is a great idea and will be telling all his city mates to be there Tuesday…. — at St Fagans

For myself and lots of others he has gone too far already.
For Wimbledon fans, moving venue was the last straw and Pompey fans just had to watch as their club fell to pieces before their eyes. But now they are starting to exert their control. It may sound contradictory to say that it's not really the colour that is important - but at the end of the day it isn't. It is about who decides which colour we play in. It's about us being allowed to make some decisions that affect the club. And the majority want blue. I know that the scope for supporters to make decisions is fairly limited under private (rather than collective) ownership - but tearing apart our traditions is unacceptable to many. Obviously Tan is learning how we feel about this because he allowed fans to vote for black shorts. Though the cynical among us may take the view that this was all a put up job - just so Tan could demonstrate his democratic learnings (if not leanings). I am sure you must have heard all this before - so sorry for that.

Steve Tucker is telling us that Tan is selling the club as the Malaysian Premiere League team would you be happy with being a Malaysian surrogate? Tan had his fingers burned a little with the rebrand so I am not sure what else he would risk in future. But I worry about finances as well as identity. My son in law is a Pompey fan and I attended our cup final with him. How fast things have changed. Can't believe that we are in the Premier League while they are in League Two. But where will we be in five years' time? Who knows.
We certainly don't have much control over that whereas Pompey fans are increasing their control. Is that the best way for the future?

Sorry to have to disagree with the butcher but I have been supporting the club for about 50 years and I would not mind the pyjamas so much as long as they were blue!!

Please let us have a RE-BRAND FORUM!

I'm really getting sick of this utter drivel.

Some have their heads so far up their own arses they'd never need a colonoscopy.

Theres always 2 sides to every story probably both at fault who cares. And chuckles stop trying to force your "opinion" on others. You have no idea yourself what went on and only have this woman's point of view.

IN MY OPINION this piece is just being used to give sympathy to the Bluebirds United cause so I'm going to take it with a pinch of salt, and the fact people are arguing over whether some bloke was at fault for an argument over a petition is pretty stupid.

And as has been said we definetly need a Rebrand section so Chuckles can spend his days arguing the rebrand away from everyone else

Thats just beyond stupid. It ain't ever going to happen. When will people wake up?

Tan: We will always be red at home
Tan: Red is lucky

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T7ACCg5mKI&t=2m41s < says it all.

Why do people think this is a guy who can be reasoned with? He's a billionaire because he is a ruthless unforgiving heartless b*stard who does what he wants his way and when he wants it done. You dont become a billionaire without shitting on people. You climb the financial ladder by kicking people off as you climb your way up.

The issue is black and white.

If you want blue back then the only way of achieving that is get Tan out.
If you would rather Tan stay then you will have to reluctantly accept the red.

People thinking Tan will stay and change the kit because he'll sympathise with the fans need to put the glue away. Its not happening. He's convinced in his beliefs. Its his culture, his way of life. You think hes going to just stop having those cultural values of red being lucky because a bunch of Cardiff fans got a bit vocal?

Some of our fans just cant face the truth like they are in denial and can fix Tan's mentality and their own self importance makes them think this way.

If you want blue back and Tan out, fair enough. If you are a reluctant red and want Tan to stay, again fair enough. If you are someone who thinks Tan will stay and turn us back to blue then you are deluded and I as an individual have the right to come to that conclusion.

I still cant believe people think Tan will just turn us back blue. Its red and Tan or blue and Tan out. Make your choice.

Delusions of grandeur.
