red and black has no tradition with Cardiff City at all !, if you want to play a tradition card we have been far more in all red kits in our away strips of recent times

all red away kit of 2001-2002
third kit of 2002-2003
away kit of 2004-2005
away kit o 2006-2007

red and black is not traditional to Cardiff City, only BLUE is traditional...

Red and black will forever be a part of our history. It was written in the book of Cardiff City when we gained promotion and won the Championship. That cannot ever be erased and therefore will go down in Cardiff City history as a great moment. I would rather us stay red and black than just change kits every season because Tan feels like it.

There is no doubt Tan wanted red and red to just assert more authority. We stood up for once and got our Championship winning/promotion winning kit back. That has been the catalyst for standing up for our true identity, blue. One step at a time but its a change in the right direction.

The red and black represents something now. We must accept that. It represents the season we finally gained promotion to the Premier League and won another trophy.

We should be proud of it even if it is in red and black. I am proud of it. Im proud of the day the club that represents the City I was born gained promotion and for that reason ill always have fond memories of the red and black kit and the players being emotional on the pitch and so forth when gaining promotion.

Of course I would rather be blue, thats 100 years of tradition but we cant write off or disregard such an important chapter in the life of Cardiff City FC because of a kit. If we do that then Tan has won. If we do that we are admitting defeat and admitting we've lost the club we love. Cardiff City was successful in blue and have been successful in red and black and in 40 years when I look back on it I'll be proud of all achievements regardless of what kit was worn.

We achieved in red and black. We achieved in blue. Of course blue means more, its our true identity but we should still also be happy for what we achieved in red and black and that red and black symbolises our title winning promotion gaining season.

It wont mean as much as blue but nothing ever will. That is our true identity. Of course winning the league and gaining promotion would have been better in blue but Tan didn't give us that choice.
