After seeing all these kits, I have come to the conclusion that Mark Hudson is to blame, he makes all kits look shit

If the badge doesn't tell you all you need to know, then nothing will.

Are you suggesting Barrie is responsible for the kit as well as the badge Dave?

Maybe it is that simple.

I don't know, Carl. But we both know that Barrie wasn't solely responsible for the badge. He was under firm instructions from Emperor Tan.

At the moment, the people making the decisions about such things at CCFC are Vincent Tan, Simon Lim and staff like Barrie, Julian, etc. Tan and Lim have no background in football and little knowledge about it, while the likes of Barrie and Julian, although having some input, will basically have to do what they're told.

One look at Tan and the badge he produced will tell you that a stylish kit was a remote possibility at best.

As you say, we both know Barrie designed the badge.

If he is responsible for the kit that was shown today, then all I can say is wow!

Saying that it must be difficult when you only got one colour to work with and a colour that we despise.

It's a good point , the reason given on twitter is that they wanted to differ from Liverpool , Man U kits.
Well why didn't they use blue shorts , yellow or Green ?

If that is so then I am confused because did not Tan say wanted us to be a Man U/Liverpool for his marketing in the Far East?

The most sensible post I've read on here all night!!

Are we deluding ourselves here ? Let us be in no doubt who's responsible for anything & everything at CCFC ! The rest with one or two notable exceptions , seem to be sheep , but it's difficult not to bleat when your salary could be at risk ! TAN OUT !

I thought the kit design was done by Puma. If the one the club chose is that i dread to see what the rejected ones were.

Maybe thats why we are ditching Puma?

We all knew the top was red so i dont understand going OTT about that now. Time for that was last year. The shorts are just horrid though.

Why are people threatening not to go over the shorts though, seems mad considering the club have said they are hopefully going to change them.

I agree with Carl. I bet Barrie thought 'lets not be copycats here and lets get something the fans will think is our own' but its backfired terribly. There is no doubt the black schema was offered because its the schema Dortmund have. They have the same top as us with yellow and black and then black shorts. Why couldn't we have black shorts like them? Its just more excuses.
